When the day set, I went to my room, I quite frankly wasn’t yet used to it all,it wasn’t anything like in the books I had read,it was disturbing and gruesome,yet when you clearly look into context,it had to be done. I wondered why Dave was locked up in his room, I curled up in bed and sleep stole me to it’s entirety.
I suddenly opened my eyes in the middle of the night to someone watching me, I squinted my eyes in the darkness, I saw a shadow,at the foot of my bed,staring down at me,static,not moving.
I jolted back,afraid of the shadow as my hands reached for the light stand.
“Am sorry for scaring you,watching you sleep gives me peace,” Dave whispered,the lights came on,his hair was a mess,his eyes red and swollen,covered in dark circles,he looked like he had been crying for hours.
