I looked at the light that came out of her room as I stood in the corridor, something wasn’t right, she’d never leave her room unlocked, I walked to her room, it was empty, the bed still laid and untouched like yesterday, all her clothes in one place, then I saw papers on her bed. I wondered where she was, I checked the bathroom , it was dry like as if someone hadn’t used it this morning. Then I turned back , I went to the dining room, Mr Salvador , stood over the sink, preparing food as usual. “ Hey Mr Salvador, good morning, has Elena come here for breakfast,” I asked, “No , I haven’t seen her all morning,” he replied, my heart sank immediately, I raced back to her room, with trembling hands, I reached for the papers, and I opened them.
