“You’ll need to stay inside for awhile,” the doctor says as he writes out a prescription, “It’s important we make sure the medication works before you actually leave.”
I nod, an indescribable grin on my face. Hayden is holding my hand tightly and I also have an arm wrapped around his like a snake. I can speak for both of us when I say we’ve probably never been happier than we are right now.
“Thank you so much doctor,” Hayden says again, “We never caught your name though…”
“It’s Scott,” he smiles, “Oscar Scott.”
My jaw drops along with Hayden’s as we both look at the doctor that happens to have the same name as my boyfriend.
“Your last name is Scott’ too?”
“Oh, yeah, who else is named Scott…?”
Hayden raises his hand in awe and gets up,
“Your… how?”
“My mother is Anne Scott.
