Broken Down Barriers

*Kristian's POV*

Loki is going wild. I feel our bond strengthening the more the elixir works through her system. She's practically vibrating next to me, not to mention the delicious scent of the moisture building between her legs. I took the car ride to decide how to best approach everything I was about to lay on her. We pulled up to this adorable little 50s-style diner, there were two cars in the parking lot. 'Perfect' I thought to myself. We went in and sat immediately in a little booth in the corner. We order food and drinks as soon as we sit down.

She watches the waiter walk out of earshot," Okay Spill."

"Where would you like me to start?"

"The beginning is always a good place."

I smiled," As you wish, Little Wolf. So, after I left you last night, I got in contact with my Beta and put him on the task of finding out everything he can about you. Your birth name is Brielle Faelan. You are from the harvest moon pack."

"Pack as in?"

"Wolf pack." I said blatantly.

"Like werewolves? Does that mean I'm a...?" Her voice trails off grasping what I'm saying.

"Wolf yes. Specifically, one of the oldest packs in Washington. The harvest moon pack emigrated from Ireland centuries ago."

"Okay and what about this eager little voice in my head screaming mate?"

" That's your wolf. She's been locked up for some time, and she's finally free. The reason she's screaming mate is because that's what I am to you. I'm your mate and you're mine." I hadn't realized I'd been holding my breath since she asked her question. I let out a deep exhale.

She chews through her bite of chicken fried steak," What exactly is a mate?"

I recall the story my mother told me about a wolf's mate," Much like humans have a soulmate, a mate is the same concept. When pups shift for the first time and complete the connection with their wolf, they start to feel this hallow ache inside. The moon goddess chooses our mates for us. In her infinite grace and wisdom, she provides your wolf with a beacon of sorts to find your mate. Loki caught your scent months ago, he brought me here." I stopped, realizing the caliber of information I had just unloaded on her. I studied her face for a moment. She's contemplative but doesn't look confused, "Any questions?"

She's quiet for a moment, "So you've been in pain looking for me?" Concern sprinkles her face," Is that why I couldn't connect to other guys? Why I'm still a virgin?" She slaps her hand over her mouth, clearly not intending to say that last part.

"I smile deviously," I'd be happy to change that. Also no, Little Wolf, it wasn't a pain per se. More of yearning to feel whole is a better description. And yes m'lady, that is likely why you didn't connect. Even though that part of you was locked away, your soul is still a wolf."

She blushes in the cutest way," Okay and all I know about shifting is from movies I've seen. Is it the same basic premise?"

"For the most part. The first time you shift will have to be at the peak of a full moon, so the moon goddess can engulf you in her light and combine you and your wolf as one. You'll be able to talk back to your wolf as well as learn her name. With the age of your bloodline, though after the first shift you'll be able to do it at will. Newer bloodlines are still bound by the moon, so they can only shift after its rise. Any other questions?"

She studies my face," So many, but all that I can think about right now is how good my mate would feel wrapped around me."

"So home then, Little Wolf?" I winked.

She throws her keys at me, "Drive fast Daddy."

I look at her shocked," You know for a supposed virgin, you have the makings of a most delectable little whore." She melts as I run my fingertips down the side of her face. I grabbed her hand and we took off. I very quickly learned why she wanted me to drive. As soon as we got into the truck, she laid across the bench seat and placed her head in my lap. Tracing doodles on my inner thigh with her fingertips. It took everything in me to not pull over and ravage her right there. However, this was our mate's first time, I wanted to make it special for her. As the future Alpha, I'd had plenty of women to entertain my time. All hoping I'd make them my chosen Luna.
