It's a few days later and I was sitting in my mom's room on her bed while she was at the computer, working from home. School was right around the corner and I wanted to do something fun before that time came.
"Mom, can I ask you something? You have to promise to hear me out," she stopped what she was doing and turned around to face me.
"What do you need?"
I stood up and walked closer to her. "Ok, so you know school is coming up and that means I won't have much time to hang with my friends,"
"Just ask me already"
"Can we please go to new jersey for the week? It's not too far away and it's not like we're gonna be partying and stuff. We just wanna get away and have fun," I put on my best puppy dog face and got on my knees.
I had to pull out everything if I wanted her to say yes.
