Chapter8
Lily pov
Everyone was busy preparing for my wedding there was no turning back now I needed to be happy it was every girls dream yet that destiny had been bestowed to me. Even father wore an endless smile at me. I only wanted to be loved, a mutual love that my parents had for each other. Thinking about it made me sad was I ever going to be loved. The royal family continuously showed their gratitude and love for the union. But that was not enough I longed for love, something I knew he could never give anyone else except for her. The rage in his eyes the longing in his eyes was all for another ,the way the two had fought over her made me realise what it means to be at someone threshold . She was perfect in every way I could not despise her yet only envy her. This marriage was not going to be out of over rather duty. I sat in my room wandering what it feels to have a normal relationship from be pursued to countless dates to a proposal none of that had happened to me. Is it foolishness, or just fate, days were going by with no one to help me escape but I just had to embrace my fate. Days went by, everywhere I passed that was the talk of how lucky I was. Daughters of ministers and their mothers pestering my servants for more details, others begging and begging fortune tellers to bestow the same destiny as mine. Slowly and slowly the day became closer and I to soon lost time to do what I wanted. The gown had already been prepared and the date officialised. Mother was helping me with my measurements when suddenly Morris just demanded to see me.
‘’Why do u disrespect the future queen?’ mother inquired in an angry tone. Hearing that made me tear was it destiny or I was a hindrance to their destiny. Morris noticed my tears and quickly embraced me. ‘Mom, I must say something,’ he added. I knew what he was going to say so I wiped off my tears, ‘Morris get out of here your future queen demands it! ’ I demanded.
‘If you do this lily this is the last day you will see me,’’ he added
‘Don’t u respect the future queen of this kingdom if not you can go as you wish,’ I replied hiding my tears
‘’Very well then your majesty I shall take my leave,’’ he replied
I wanted to hug him tell him I understand but I just stood there watching my brother pack for my sake and my mother crying and begging him to stay. Before he left these words he imprinted in my mind, CANNOT BARE TO SEE YOU LIKE THIS LILY .I wanted to stop him as well but as he left father collapsed and in that wedding attire I was on a horse rushing to get a doctor.
