AUTHOR’S POV
Nerida paced up and down, while Nerissa remained curled up, her chin resting on her knees on the bed and her back leaning against the wall. Oceanus' head guard, Delma, had arrived a few minutes earlier, having been tasked with going to Dorian's kingdom in the morning.
After Nerida told him everything that had happened, he left to follow Oceanus. However, that happened several hours ago, and there had been no further updates since then. Worry and fear consumed their thoughts.
Nerissa tried to give them hope by telling her mother that the guards would not allow Oceana to exit the riptide. She reminded her mother of their previous deceitful encounter with the guards, and how Delma had specifically instructed them not to let them through again unless Oceanus personally verifi
