"They are going to love you," I murmured, placing a gentle kiss on Oceana's forehead as we stood in front of my door and she smiled softly as I twisted the handle and pushed it open.
"Welcome to my home, no our home," I said to my mate, and she whispered that it was beautiful as we walked inside, for which I thanked her.
“Mom? Thea?” I called out, heading towards the dining area, where the familiar scents of home were strongest. This was the time Mom and Thea usually had dinner when Thea stayed over.
But then there was something else—another scent I had not smelled in what seemed like forever, and my heartbeat quickened in the quiet foyer. I had called ahead, letting them know when we’d be landing, so they knew we were coming.
