Thea noticed Oceana gazing out the window with a distant, worried expression. "I am sure Lykos will return soon," she said softly, hoping to provide some comfort and Oceana turned to her, surprised that Thea had noticed the sadness in her eyes. She quickly nodded, as if trying to hide her emotions, but Thea knew Lykos' absence was weighing heavily on her.
Hours had passed since he left, and despite Thea's efforts to keep the conversation going, Oceana's eyes were becoming increasingly sad. Thea hoped Lykos would return soon, given the late hour and his planned departure this evening. Surely, he would want to spend some time with his mate before he left.
