  Chase sits on the floor of his stark and minimalist cell. The walls are cold concrete, painted a dull gray, adding to the sense of desolation. A narrow cot with a thin mattress and a worn blanket sits in one corner, while a small metal sink and toilet are attached to the opposite wall. The only light comes from a single, dim bulb hanging from the ceiling. Lost in thought about Charlotte, he wonders who she really is.
