Charlotte sat in the waiting room, her heart pounding as she waited patiently for Chase to be brought out. When he finally emerged, her heart dropped at the sight of him in cuffs, bruises covering his face. "Chase," Charlotte whispered, standing up with fear etched on her face as he was seated in front of her and grabbed the phone. She sat back down immediately and picked up the phone.
"Chase, what did they do to you?" she asked, her heart breaking.
"Hey," he replied, looking at her adoringly. "I missed you."
"Who did this to you?" she demanded, her voice trembling.
"I missed you," he repeated, his voice soft but firm.
