Damien walked into the house and found Elizabeth seated in the living area with her hands crossed, lost in deep thought. He walked towards her and stood in front of her, but she didn't notice his presence.
"Elizabeth," he said, leaning towards her. Jolting back to reality she stood up in shock.
"Are you good?" he asked, concerned.
"What do you want?" she snapped, anger brewing in her. He hadn't been home for days, which had allowed her anger to subside, but seeing him again made it worse. When she looked at him, she saw an obstacle, something that took her away from Chase and stopped her from going back.
"Nothing, I just wanted to make sure you were okay," Damien said, startled by her reaction.
"I'm fine, thank you very much," she said, walking away.
"Are you mad at me?
