HERE I COME

Waking up after a sleep full of nightmares is too hard. I was hurrying to go inform Main. I was planning on whom all to meet and about the tests that are gonna be taken. Dad is so worried but I don't wanna lose Uber too, I promised him I do be there to help him out and I'll keep my word. Having my breakfast I rushed out, it was all so cold and full of snow, I was a bit early and I really don't think Main would have reached the research center. So I decided to go to Bea's home, while I was getting on my flypod to leave I saw a familiar face, Ashley. She came to me and greeted "Good morning JC Laisy.", greeting her back I asked her how come she be here that too at this time. "Just to meet you. Heard you are taking life-changing decisions now, so just wanted to say 'All the best' hmmmmmm........" she said looking down. "So you are still sad cause you got out of the team? What do you do now?" I asked which she replied with a weak smile "Was at home, completely clueless but I was surprised to receive Main Gust's call yesterday.". "Oh why did he call? Like any special reason behind it?" I asked to which she nodded 'No' "No special reason, he just spoke a bit. Bea too called me," she said. So it's from Bea she came to know about my decision but I wonder why he would call without any reason, might be he felt bad cause he fired her or is it cause he regrets choosing Tony. "Whatever you do Laisy, think well before you jump into something, think if it's necessary or not." Ashley said looking at me and continued "Okay then......I guess you are in a hurry, but why so early? Any good news?". "Ya I kind of got a message from Uber, he needs help. So wanna inform Main immediately. Bye then catch you later," I said, now I don't think there is time for going to meet Bea so I directly went to the research center.

All were just coming when I reached the research center. I directly went to the Main's office and waited in the waiting area. While I was sitting there I heard sounds coming from the office, usually, it's not yet time for Main to reach so I just peeked into the office. To my surprise, he was already sitting there in his chair looking very confused and worried. He was in deep thoughts when I knocked and asked him permission to enter. Asking me to get in the immediately stood up and said "Laisy I don't think this is a good idea.". I know he was scared of getting blamed for my decision too as he got blamed for my mom's "I think this is the best we can... I mean I can". He knew I'm not gonna listen to anyone once I decide something. "See ...this..." before Main could say anything, he noticed someone standing outside. "Come in Stephen." Main said in a very calm voice. Soon he came and stood near us "I'm joining back on duty today sir." he said and gave an official paper for Main to sign mentioning his suspension period is over. When Main went close to his table to sign Stephen turned to me "Are you serious? You wanna go? Laisy this is not a joke, not a game. You can die there in that unknown place, if you get caught by any creatures there, then they might study on you, run tests on you, kill you.". "What if they do that with Uber? I wanna reach there before that happens. You have no idea how it feels Stephen cause you never had a situation like that." I said standing firm on my decision. "Just remember we can't reach there that fast even if you need any help immediately." he knew there was nothing else he could say actually. Shirley had already joined after her 2 months suspension, she too came near the office door and asking Main's permission got in. "Main.....you have not yet assigned me anything. Any new missions, hopefully, I can take care of the spaceship works better this time.". Main looked at me confused "So....you gonna stick with your plan or we can try sending another robot which can do the mission and also rescue Uber too.". "But haven't we already told the government we don't wanna go with the plan of using robots again?" I asked with a smile, "we can somehow change it like if you drop your plan we can go talk to the officials somehow and get permission to continue with robots." Stephen said. "Do you think a robot can bring him back? I don't think it can make much difference in the current situation and won't it take too long to build and run tests on it? what if something happens to Uber by then?" I was about to continue when I again felt something.....fear.... sadness......confused .... 'Help' was all it needed...Uber, 'it was a message from Uber but why was it breaking and why couldn't I understand what he is saying? This is not good.' I told myself and this made me sure that I had to go and my decision is right "I'm going and that's final". They didn't wanna agree but there was no other choice "So get prepared well Laisy, you are going. I'll send a letter asking for government permission and a letter must be sent from your side too as you might know. Hmmmm......" Main said at last. I turned and quickly moved out of the office. Tony was standing right outside the door and of course, he heard what I said I knew that and I knew that from his face, his eyes were wide and his mouth was wide open he couldn't believe it I know. I walked past him and then he asked from behind "Laisy...um..mm..you...really wanna go? Anyone forced you? Like.......if anyone did then might be we can talk and do something like...um...did Main force you? Then I'll talk to him right now." ."What? Tony....is that you saying" I didn't want to say that but he was never like that to anyone ever before, he looked down hesitating a bit and just walked away quietly. I knew how difficult it is for him to be nice to people and even if he will according to what I have seen he does that only when someone forces him so much to be good which mostly his grandma does. He just doesn't agree he has got a better side to show people and what happened now? "Did he hit his head somewhere today morning?" Bea said walking closer to me, she came to meet me knowing I will be in Main's office but then saw me walking out. "Even I feels like he did. So...I said yes. Confirmed I'm going. I again felt he is in danger and I need to reach as fast as possible." I said and she looks like she already knew how it would end up. "All the best I must say then. Looks like it is in your fate to go. Hmmmmm....approximately it will take 3 months for the spaceship as you are in the post of Captain and a spaceship model is already made and worked on when someone takes that post. Tests and results will all be rapid and as we were trained to handle enough situations and taught a bit to survive you won't need much training. We have learned about other successful projects and our achievements so you know how things work. Probably the route you will be traveling will be the same as Nono138 and Uber did. Be prepared Laisy and whatever happens come back please." Bea did wait any longer and went to meet Main. Dad would have understood too. I know this is a great risk but how can I leave Uber alone there? How will I live my whole life feeling guilty? I'm gonna prepare myself for this. Earth, here I come.
