FORGOTTEN MISSION

Saying bye to my dad I left leaving the door of my home closed behind taking my INote.I checked my INote. I then got a message on my phone from Bea. ′ I’m waiting there near your home. Come soon.′ I got on my Flypod and soon enough saw Bea waiting there on her Flypod. She has long blond hair with wheat color skin, she is so slim, tall and pretty with blue eyes. She was so happy and was jumping with joy when she saw me even when we always met. She was probably excited to say something. Not anything usual but it was her way of saying something special or new was up.

" Hey, what's up?” I asked her knowing there was something she was super excited about. “Do u remember long back Main Chloe and team together discovered a newly formed planet, Zipher? After so long now they brought creatures from there. I heard they could be used as slaves as they are so strong enough to do heavy works. The special space ship along with those creatures landed and from those few were taken to the research center. ” she continued with a wide smile “Can we go see those? please, please, please....”

“No, we have our exams and what good do you find in capturing poor animals, running tests on them, and making them our slaves?” I really feel so bad for those creatures, they don’t deserve this. “Oh come on Laisy anyway we are not the ones who decide whether to capture them or not. We are not the decision-makers here. All goes to see those and we do the same too. We’ll go see those, they belong in homos (humans) too and if possible we’ll get to know something about them and leave, then we can go and mind our own business. And didn’t u get the mail, it mentioned in it that the exam will be conducted 2 hours after the scheduled time as those homos were brought so we have got enough time to go.” Bea just couldn’t wait anymore so I had to agree.

It was sure a pleasant morning with a light cool breeze and all snow around. It was cold but not too much that it made us shiver so much. Very few birds were there around and without much noise, they were in their own little world. Not many people were out as it was winter and still a bit dark outside. Just as they brought creatures or else most probably only our class, trainers and mains along with their assistants would have been there due to exam.

" So Main Gust also had a role in this project Bea?” I asked “I think he might .......yes he has a role in it a very small one. Hey, you heard something else?” Bea looked at me and I shrugged. “Main Gust reopened a project. Dad got a mail yesterday night that mentioned this asking him to get the closed files ready to reopen. I know you won’t be so happy about this.” she said giving me a sad look. “Why won’t I be happy? It's great that an uncompleted dream is gonna get completed soon.” I said looking at her with a smile and then I could guess from her look what she was about to say. No, it can’t be that I’m unnecessarily overthinking. ” It's something you hate the most. I know this would spoil your day but........ I just wanted to tell....” she continued lowering her voice “Laisy, Main Gust reopened the project which was closed after your mom’s death for past 14 years.......” and now I know it was coming to that project for which first my dad’s parents, then my mom’s parents and later my mom had to sacrifice for. The project was a nightmare. That disastrous project, the Earth.

My mind went blank and I was just staring at Bea not knowing what to do. I was getting a feeling that something really bad is gonna happen. I feel it is gonna take something that I love away from me and I could think of telling only one thing ” I really don’t wanna lose anyone I love again Bea”

Why did Main Gust do that? Why did reopen a forgotten project after 14 years? What did he have in mind? Is this gonna cost more lives this time?

The research center was not so far so we reached there in a few minutes. I wasn't in a good mood the whole time. Noticing that I was not at present Bea suggested we do go to the kids' teaching section which was close to the research center. It was a tall dark blue building with beautiful paintings inside. This is the place where all small kids of age 4 and above about 10 years old are brought to study. That after 15 years they complete their higher education in their favorite subject (mainly its basic theory) with help of Robo-teach (it is a robot that has all the teaching materials in it and teaches from home). Further studies are according to the job they choose to do.

Going to the kids' teaching section was like going back to our old childhood days. Days when mom used to drop me there and days when Bea and I became friends. It also helps us forget our troubles and sadness by looking at all those small faces which are either happy seeing us or surprised by how huge we are compared to them.

We entered in there, as it was early the place was so quiet. While walking past the presentation room I heard a very familiar voice. It was Clara and Jain, my cousins in, they were presenting for kids. They form the time I remember wanted to be kids' teachers. Clara and Jain are 2 years elder than both Bea and me. Seeing us Jain came near the door.

" Hey, why are you guys here? I thought you had an exam today." He said with him a sweet as ever smiling. Unfortunately, my Bea always falls for such sweet smiles and he was just too handsome standing so tall and fit, with dark blue eyes and light brown thick hair. "Our exam actually is after 2 hours due to......" Bea said returning him her best possible smile. " Oh yeah... I forgot. So if you are free why don't you get in? This is my 1st presentation as the main teacher and a bit nervous too for no reason ..... I know " He asked looking at me expecting to hear a YES. But before I could even think of saying something Bea said " Sure why not. I hope Clara likes it or will she just kick me out ?". " Oh no Bea she can't be rude in front of kids, she is supposed to be a role model for them. So no worries come in." He said pushing the door wide and letting me enter 1st. Clara was busy making sure things were all where they were supposed to be. She was a very pleasant person, with long black hair like mine, with black eyes. She wasn't so tall actually, she was shorter than me. She was happy to see me and waved but the moment she saw Bea her smile faded. They both never liked each other and both never agreed or stood together for anything other than when it's for me. Bea always took her as a joke from childhood and never cared about whatever Clara said. And for Clara, she never likes Bea's 'I know everything character' which she shows at times.

Making us both seated Jain went and stood in front of the room close to Clara.

As always smiling, avoiding Bea, Clara started. It's the 1st class for kids too. They too are really scared about it. "Good morning darlings, Today I'm gonna take a small class about our planet. It's just gonna be basics."

She showed them an image of our planet on the big screen. " This is our planet Bhumera. And as you would have noticed it's all so green. And our animals mainly huge ones have a property to understand us. And to huge animals, we can connect and communicate especially dogs, elephants, monkeys, and gorillas. Animals with 4 legs don't eat homos and we all eat smaller animals. Now dogs have a high IQ and high power to understand and communicate so all of you are given a dog to take care of and train forever. You will get your pet dogs next year. Dogs are provided by the government for professional purposes and you need to train them accordingly. You can't have a pet dog unnecessarily. When dogs are needed in your professional needs you must use them or if they are needed by the government for any needs you need to give without hesitations."

"So do you all still have your dogs with you?" a small girl asked raising her hand. Asking her to lower her hand, Clara continued " Yes, until now they weren't asked for anything and when dogs stay longer you have a stronger bond with them. But you can't oppose. Now we consider our planet as our mother and we worship our planet and to always keep her cool and make her comfortable we plant trees and it is a way to show our devotion to mother Bhumera. Now when it comes to homos, we have got many qualities. Other than our 5 sense organs we have got 6th sense to know what is gonna happen next but it works only a few minutes before something happens and I personally find no use as we really can't escape from any danger with that. The next one is to know when someone mentions our name in a conversation, we can know who mentioned us but won't know what they were speaking about us. Next is that we can connect and communicate through telepathy. We can learn about a person, their culture, and language within a few minutes if we hold hands and concentrate. But it happens faster if you practice meditation. All these finally mentioned 3 things are only possible due to our tentacles. A tentacle will be 2 to 3cm for all homos and 1 to 2 cm for other animals mainly dogs and monkeys and 1cm thick for all creatures. Now when it comes to height... Males are usually taller than females. They are 6'7 to 7 feet tall and females are 6'2 to 6'5 feet tall. Females here have a high IQ usually and males are physically stronger. All their responsibilities are shared and they are considered equally. Rankings and positions they hold depend on their grades and hard work. Females were considered dominant before but not now. Female gives birth to offspring but it is a males' duty to take care of their kids, u would be knowing all these ya. So moving on..... next it is very important and you need to pay 100% attention here. Your tentacles are very important. Its got 2 main parts, one long thin part which connects to your head and a tip that is in a tiny sphere shape. It not just helps in connection, communication, and understanding but is also very sensitive. Creatures on our planet have the main property to make cuts on our skin vanish and to make out lost body parts regrow which takes time but in the case of tentacles, it's different. If damage happens to the tentacle tip we need special medicines to recover and regrow it. But if the thin part is cut we will die and no one can help it. That's the most painful death for a creature. So don't fight or get your tentacles in between your fight. Next thing..... do not touch anyone's tentacles. These tentacles raise and stand straight up when we are scared or angry and if someone holds tentacles of another, a circle forms just below our collar born and it shoots a small thin microscopic stick-like thing into the body mostly the throat of the person holding on tentacles so hard. And the person when struck with it will faint and experienced doctors will have to take it out for them. And not all survive when it is struck so better be careful. "

"So any doubts? " Clara asked and then I noticed a smile spread on Bea's face she is gonna do something oh god she really wanna irritate Clara and get us both kicked out. " Teacher Clara, we brought animals from Zipher ya, so did u notice any special character which we don't have in them??"

" Look Bea a proper study hasn't been done and you needn't care about it. But ya they can move faster with their legs like can do a fast motion which we actually can't. They found it when we were about to capture them. They call it 'run'. And I needn't discuss all these things with kids. You are wasting our time. " Clara said giving Bea a clod stare.

"Oops I thought at 1st you wouldn't answer as you god no idea about it. You know a teacher show always stay updated with information." Bea replied.

" So I see you are not a teacher dear. Now you know I got a better idea." She said and turned to shut down the big-screen presentation. Oh, they never miss a chance to make each other feel bad. Bea was about to say something when I sensed someone was coming to call us. And soon enough door of the presenting room was opened a bit and a head peeped in "Oh you guys are here I have been searching for a while now just 20 more minutes for the exam to come out now." It was our assistant trainer Anne.

We soon left the teaching section and were moving to an open ground inside our research center. Before entering the center Anne stopped and said "All our Mains and trainers will reach soon. I really you guys to perform well. And I heard Main Gust is gonna choose the main leading Captain for his new reopened project, the Earth after analyzing all your performance in this exam." With a concerned look, she continued " In that case to be honest I really don't want you guys to perform so well. Anyway well enough to impress him." Looking at me she said "Laisy keep it in mind. Don't impress him." I was getting a weird feeling inside me. And then my a light tickling on my tentacles ( it means someone is mentioning your name in a conversation).....Main Gust, he was mentioning my name but why is he thinking? What is he saying? Whom is he saying to?

Bea suddenly looked at me in shock "Laisy, Main Gust ......he is mentioning my name in a conversation. I get the sensation. "

Oh god, this is not happening, not to Bea.
