“I’m the bad person ya? I let all down” I was feeling just so guilty. “No Laisy, what have you done which makes you guilty you are also one like us and none of us knew it was coming, okay? Just……hmmm better luck next time.” Bea was trying to calm me down and rushed behind Main who had already left so angrily. Steven too left soon very disappointed. Clara and Jane too came to me “It’s okay Laisy better luck next time” Clara said “Ya all might not succeed on the first try don’t lose hope dear you will do next time” Jane was trying to help but I don’t think it actually worked. All soon left they didn’t wanna disturb me “Let her be there herself, don’t disturb her” I heard a few say. I was sitting there resting my head on my hands when I felt a heavy hand on my shoulder I turned to see dad standing there pretending to be fine as always. Uber was standing next to him, he came close and laid his head on my lap. Dad just pulled a chair closer and sat “Laisy, it happens my child don’t lose hope. Dad will try harder next time darling and so sorry I let you down. Are you angry with dad? No, I could never be angry with my dad. The few people I had around me, always supporting me. They are my world I can go to any limit for them however far it is I don’t care. Nothing was dad’s fault. “I know that I am the one who unnecessarily pulled you into this I should have worked more but I gave all the workload to you which wasn’t a fair thing to do. I let you down.” Uber moved his head closer to my forehead and our tentacles touched. That was how we made a stronger connection with the others. This helps in calming people down and giving them mental support and assurance that they are always with you and no one could lie about that as then the connection won’t take place and all people can’t go and keep the promise. This produces stronger energy, especially when with pets. Dad to join us, we needed each other not to lose hope. ‘If they weren’t there then what use of me?’ I often think. Uber knew exactly what to do when we were feeling down. Poor he tries a lot to keep us all happy and stress-free all day. We were feeling much more better and peaceful, then I had to go meet Main and wanted to know what is gonna happen next and what order he has got for me. Let it not be trouble again.

In Bea’s POV.......

I soon followed Main when he rushed out and went to his office. I felt bad leaving Laisy alone back there in a situation like that. Being on this post I thought was easy but I’m the one who is actually running all day to keep all good of which I’m fed up with now. Student life was far better, no worries, and just studies. I heard footsteps behind me and it was Steven. I was actually expecting to see Ashley. He was so disappointed and scared. We were quiet till we entered Main’s office. All lights were turned dim in there and were a bit dark inside it. The screen in the office was switched on and it showed ‘MISSION FAIL’ Main was walking right and left without saying a single word. Ashley was already there, already so tensed and sweating. I asked her if he had told her something but she said he was quiet the whole time and was now acting weird like he suddenly went mentally unstable. We didn’t know what to tell him and we were even scared to go close to him he suddenly turned and took a glass flower vase and threw it out of the glass door of the office. We were surprised, he then was murmuring something to himself. When he saw us he rushed towards, he came so close to me and asked where Laisy was and I said she is still back there. “I know exactly what is going on here. You all want me to lose ya? You aren’t scared of me, you don’t care whatever I say, won’t obey me huh? I’m not gonna let anyone escape. This fear about me that I created in people.......it took a long time for me to earn respect. First her parents, then she later her husband, and now her daughter. No way I let any of you escape with that, I’m not weak, no one got any idea of what I can do........ no one.”. It was then that I realized Main was talking about late main Lucy, Laisy’s mom. What wrong did they all do to him? Main didn’t stop there, “I told her everything still she doesn’t want to believe me. She thinks I have done something and is taking revenge on me. She thinks she is smarter just cause she is a female that doesn’t make her still dominant and I will teach her to respect us well.” as if realized something suddenly he turned to Ashley, “Wasn’t Shirley the one who was in charge of the spaceship, I want her here now and I want you to call Tony Simson” immediately she ran out to call Shirley and Tony. I understood why he wanted to call Shirley but why Tony? He wasn’t part of the project nor was he the part of Main Gust’s team. From Main’s face, it was pretty clear that he is not gonna go easy on any of us and I was also starting to get nervous. Then getting closer to Stephen, Main continued “Weren’t you told to take care of the robot? Didn’t you already run all tests on it? Then......?” poor Stephen was already sweating a lot and his voice was trembling. “Sir I was very careful with it and of course, I ran all the tests and I did submit all the reports. They were all true I haven’t added anything myself. I really have got no idea how it failed. I don’t think there was any mistake on the robot.” Then how come it failed? Do you think I’m crazy? I was so confident about this and I promised it do be a success. Won’t all laugh at me? I was overconfident. I believed her, I knew Frank’s creations could do a lot more than anyone expected. That was the main reason I got Laisy working for this, just to get Frank to do the robot. Now taking his side you...... what have I done to you, Stephen? You all let me down. Planned a lot ya? I know you all did. I thought even though they were unhappy with me they would work for the mission all their loved ones sacrificed for. Stephen, I don’t want you here now........ you are suspended from here for the next 3 months. I’ll soon mail you the formal letter and inform in the office” Main said angrily. I don’t think anyone saw him angry before and this was the 1st time I saw him angry at all. Getting a suspension, that too for three months was a lot too much even if he had done anything wrong, that too here he haven’t done anything at all. Nothing was his mistake nor was it anyone's.

Getting a suspension can mark a black point in a person’s whole career and having black points will be hard to get any promotions from the post and it also can cause you to lose your job sooner. Three suspensions maximum, more than that can make anyone lose their job and they won’t be able to find any job anywhere. Stephen tried to explain but he was scared he would get a negative remark from Main about his work. He had to keep quiet and soon moved out of the office. It was at the same time Ashley entered along with Shirley. I guess they understood what actually happened. “Shirley, you were in charge of spaceship ya? What went wrong? Come on tell me... what was wrong? Was something wrong with the spaceship or you? Main asked her. “Main I’m pretty sure everything was perfect with it. I got no idea wh.....” cutting her off he continued “Everything was perfect? Hey, did you even know that it exploded a few minutes after it landed? Was that perfect for you? It is called a failure for me. Now you decide how long you want suspension for?”. “Main please I haven’t......” Shirley couldn’t continue, Main stopped her and said she was getting a suspension for two months. Without even a second thought she was asked to get out of the office which she immediately did. Next was Ashley’s turn and it looked like she already knew it but neither she nor I expected it to be something like this. “Ashley thanks for your two years of service to me. You were just asked to do one thing and only that well ya? To make sure nothing goes wrong, to inform me if there is a necessity for something. To make sure all do their duties well ya and...... should I be happy with your performance this time? So..... I don’t want a loser here in my team any longer. Hope I made it clear and I have already found your replacement.” poor girl was crying hearing this, anyone would have. Our positions mean everything to us to be honest, when our positions are lost or if we are out of a team then that is the end of the whole career which we dreamed of and for which we were trained from childhood. It then things became more clear to me. She ran out of the office crying even before Main asked her to. Next, it was me, I slowly turned to face him but he already sat on his chair and was waiting for me to say something. “Main, may I leave?” I know not the best thing to ask then but I didn’t know what else to say and was scared what if he removes me from the team too. It's just been months since I started and I really didn’t wanna see a full stop that soon. I then noticed Tony was waiting outside. Main was about to tell me something when he saw me looking outside. Seeing Main notice I told him Tony was already here. He asked me to ask him to come in which I did. Tony came in with his usual smirk and greeted Main, he wasn’t the best person to be around with indeed you will hardly find anyone like that. He could do anything to get what and where he wanted. Tony was a single word for a heartless, selfish, and cruel creature. He was very cunning and this is the only person I have seen seeing whom anyone would feel like giving a hard punch. “JAM (junior assistant Main) Bea, Tony is gonna be your new senior assistant Main. Welcome, Tony, this is Bea your junior assistant. She is a close friend of JC Laisy, I hope you remember her. Bea you are supposed to listen to him and help him with whatever possible got it? Main asked to which I know that yes I nodded ‘Yes’. I could see a wide smile on the face of that devil. He has always been like this from younger grades and Laisy helped him a lot feeling bad for him as no one wanted to be his friend due to his character. I asked her not to be so close to him and same as he did to others he took advantage of us and made us suffer a lot with him. Main asked me to leave as they had to discuss something. Coming out of the office I saw Laisy, her dad, and Uber. I guess they heard everything. Laisy just came to me and said she saw Tony coming and I needn’t explain the reason why he is here. “He said he is gonna help me a lot Bea. I think something is up.”. Yes, something was up and I clearly knew it. But what could it be? Or what if he changed? What if he really wanted to help us?
