MY DECISION

Bea’s POV..........

I had no idea what I had to do then, I could lose neither Laisy nor Loki. I was told to sign the papers the next day. Tony’s pet was taken from him long back as it fell into depression as he never paid much attention to it. Now he doesn’t want anyone of us to have a pet. I didn’t wanna call Laisy, I didn’t know what to tell her. I was feeling depressed. I was sitting in my room hugging Loki, “I never wanted to do this dear, I don’t know......“.

Laisy’s POV..........

What???? Bea agreed to give Loki. Might be for me.....she didn’t actually have to do that and what if the outcome is still the same? There won’t be any use of it. I tried calling Bea but she didn’t answer any of my calls. I was starting to get worried. I can’t let her be herself. I went to visit her in her home, she has locked herself inside her bedroom. “Bea, I’m not angry at you at all. I can completely understand you. Please open the door. I have found a way out. How could you even think I believed Tony?” She suddenly opened the door and gave me a tight hug “I didn’t know what to do Laisy. I miss Uber a lot and I don’t wanna lose Loki too. I didn’t know how to.....“cutting her off I said what if Loki end up the same way like Uber then what use is it all of and they won’t be able to do anything alone there. So I was thinking of another plan...I don’t know if you would agree but I don’t find any other way. If you would make my dad understand then this will surely work.“. ” This doesn’t sound good Laisy, what is it?“Bea knew I was about to do something no good at all. But there was no other way. Uber was on some other planet just due to me and I can’t let Loki also do that. I know how it feels to lose someone and I don’t want her also to go through it, she will go mad if I say her, and I don’t know how she’ll react but I said “I’ll go.“. “What?? Where? Laisy this isn’t a joke,” she said shocked to hear me. “Mom went I too can, why can’t I? I just need to tell dad about this for which I’m asking your help,” I said not looking at her. “Do you know where your mom is? Your dad has already gone through a lot of stuff now this too? And you want me to accompany you to tell him. How can you be this rude? And why the hell do you always give me hard to make choices like this? I want both Loki and you. No way I let your dad go through this too Laisy, I can’t agree. You had to give away your pet and I must too. I’m anyway the Junior Assistant Main of the project.” she told angrily. “If I go, what if I can rescue Uber and what if we both manage to come back?” I asked her and I knew well she won’t know what to tell for that. “But....I...don’t think this....” she was confused so I continued “Anyway someone needs to go then why can’t I?“Saying that I soon left her home. This could be a good turn or a bad turn but I don’t care I’m gonna take this whatever happens.

“No” dad was about out to burst out crying when I told him. “I need to bring Uber back. I feel like he is in danger. Dad....” I know I’m hurting him a lot but “I don’t see any other way.” I told “This is my decision, dad, and that's it. “Laisy, one last request. You should go only if you get any message from Uber. Any sign that he is alive, then you can go. You should try to make a connection with him as soon as possible.” he said at last. I tried in all ways to connect to Uber but it was of no use. When I closed my eyes again to try, I heard footsteps. It was Clara, looks like dad informed uncle about my decision. She slowly came and sat next to me. She is just a few years elder than me but to be honest Clara always acted like a very mature person to me, like a mother. The concerned look of hers, she didn’t want me to go. “Laisy be careful what you say. Do not talk or talk decisions without thinking. It could be a big mistake later.” she knew my habit of taking decisions in a hurry without giving it a second thought. “But all the decisions which I took like that were the best and a turning point. ” I said. “Till now in your life what serious problem did you ever come across and how many? You are not a kid anymore and this is not a joke. Your words are taken seriously and you won’t even be able to take it back ever. You are at a high post, your words are valued and whatever you do will be for the whole planet, Bhoomera. No one will stop you and no one has any loss whatever happens to you except for your family. Whatever happens to you will be considered for the planet." she was about to continue when I stopped her and asked “So you don’t believe in me. You don’t think I will be able to do this and come back successfully ya?.” Clara knew she couldn’t say anything more now “Bea called me.....she said she is worried about you.” when it comes to me, whatever happens, both Clara and Bea are together for me. Clara continued "She told me you aren’t ready to listen to her nor are you willing to close the project.”. "What?? Close the project? Leaving Uber there? Are you all even serious? Like how can you......you know we won't even be able to know if he is calling for help from there if we close the project ya, then.....now I do feel what Tony told is right, you will know it only when it's your pet." Clara had already understood she can't make me think over this again. "Do as per your wish Laisy. Remember, your dad has gone through so much, and please don't hurt him again" she stood up and left my room. Was I doing anything wrong? Should I think over it again? Anyway, start, let us see where all these will end.

At night I couldn’t sleep well. I kept having nightmares as soon as I fall asleep so I kept waking up. It was already the third time waking up now. Oh....not again. I was about to fall asleep for the fourth time when suddenly I felt a tickling in my tentacles......I realized with a shock, Uber? Yes, it is I was so happy to get a message from him. I immediately sat up and kept my mind calm, closing my eyes trying to get the message. 'HELP................DANGER...........SCARED.............' I waited for it to continue but no....nothing, that's it and that's all....just three words help, danger, scared. He said something in between but it didn't reach me. 'What could have happened? Might be he send message to the research center.' I soon wrote an official mail to them asking them to check and inform me immediately if any message was received from Uber. I knew I'll get the reply the next day only but I didn't have much patience to wait that long. It was just midnight and sure I can't get any sleep again. He is in danger, tomorrow I'm going to officially inform Main that I would like to go to Earth as soon as possible. I wrote a formal letter to give the government informing them that I'm ready for the project and promising this is not due to anyone's force. 'I agree to sacrifice for my planet and take this mission whatever happens.' and that is the end of that letter. I soon started to write the mail to Main Gust confirming this and agreed on all the tests that are gonna be taken. I soon told dad that I received a message from Uber, he asked me if I was sure. I then messaged Bea, Clara, and Main Gust about this. I was sure the reply will come later in the morning and I had to wait. I somehow wanted to get Uber back safe. Dad asked me to sleep and said early tomorrow we can go to the research center. I tried hard to sleep but couldn't. I don't know whether I really slept or not when I saw something so bright, a long white log-like thing. It turned in my direction suddenly and hit so hard behind my head. All I remember after that is lying on something soft, I'm so thirsty. I was about to stand up when someone with strong hands pulled me hard by my hair. I didn't understand what was happening, my head was hurting so much and I was too tired to defend. Knowing I can do nothing. . . . . .my eyes shut.
