TO THE FARTHEST

AWAITED BIG DAY

Bea greeted us there at the entrance of the research center and we directly went to the Main Gust's office. He was pleased to see Nono138. Standing up from his chair he walked towards us smiling "Great job, must appreciate your hard work Laisy. Now we need to see what he is capable of, isn't it Nono".

"Sir he is made with the best possible materials. Hopefully, he'll pass all the physical tests. We have fed only a few information about the mission in him. So now Stephen's job is to give Nono a clear-cut idea of the whole mission and feed other necessary details and then will have to train him about what he is actually supposed to do." I said, Main Gust. "Ya sure Laisy" saying this Main turned to Ashley "Inform all these to Stephen and tell him he is in charge of Nono138 from now on.". Ashley soon rushed out of Main's office. Bea was standing next to me, "Bea...." Main continued "You must make sure that Nono138 doesn't run out of charge and check whether things are all going good with the new spaceship made for Nono. I hope I made it clear and I need everything to be done fast, no delay, please.....I hate to wait" soon after he finished Bea too rushed out of the office.

Turning back to me Main said "Laisy now please do go and hand him over to Stephen and immediately after that just go see how the spaceship is and its functions. Make sure you say your suggestion about it if you have any or think anything needs to be changed in that. You know being a Captain is not so easy. You need to know about everything and lead the mission. Now hurry up!"

Getting into Stephen's team's workroom, I could see all were busy with their own work. Stephen leads them. Seeing us there Stephen came towards us smiling and greeted us. "So hello Nono138, I'm gonna be your trainer from now on. I hope Laisy and Mr. Frank told you that you will have to pass 56 tests in total to get qualified for the mission and if you don't...well we'll have to modify you and make a stronger version or..... I have no idea will depend on Main's decision. He will be so mad at you and..... I will have to do whatever he commands me to. So among these 40 will be physical tests and the rest will be on the information fed in you, your storage power, energy consumed, etc. Now come on, let's go meet the others here." turning to his team members Stephen announced "Team, meet Nono 138. Today on we will be working on him, he is made for the new mission." he introduced Nono138 to all his team members. Soon leaving Nono138 with the others he came back to us. "I hope things go well Laisy....I know you all have worked a lot on this." "Ya, I guess he will do it. Let's hope for the best."

He gave me the official paper mentioning that I have handed over the robot which I had to sign."It will take 10 days for all the tests and another 6 days for practice. I'll let you know if I need to contact Mr. Frank for anything and will keep you updated with Nono's progress." Stephen said. "I'll mail you all the files dad asked me to and oh...ya here," I said pulling out the paper which dad gave me from my uniform's pocket "He told me to give this too. Any difficulties, you can call him". Thanking me Stephen went back to his work. I then directly went to see the spaceship as Main asked me to.

Bea was already there, "Hey, so.....all done there?". "Ya handed it over," I said moving closer to her. Uber ran over to Loki, Bea's pet. They both get along very well like Bea and me. The spaceship was smaller than the usual one and that might be because it's for robots and Nono is short. I somehow managed to get in, had a look at the inside of it and its inner settings. "I hope size is all fine?" Bea asked standing behind. "Ya all good. What about the charging facility and emergency take-off system?" I asked her. "Ya all those are almost done still a bit more work and we are gonna work on it today. So you are gonna join us huh?" she asked looking at Shirley, then me. Shirley was in charge of spaceship settings and maintenance for Main Gust and she leads a team of 10 members. She was a pleasant-looking person with dark brown eyes and auburn hair. She walked towards me and said, "Sure, Laisy you got no other things to take care of today ya? Then do join us and give us suggestions."

The spaceship's work wasn't as easy as I thought it would be and I was already tired halfway. I turned around and saw that Bea too was taking a break. I went sat close to her "Too much work ya? You usually don't work here, why are you here then?", she smiled at me and said "Laisy, being an assistant Main I have to do whatever Main asks me too. Yesterday I had to send mail to government officials, today I have worked here, tomorrow might be in Stephen's team who knows. People say comparing to Senior Mains and Captains assistants do nothing but from my point of view its actual assistants who do everything. The others just order them. I actually have no idea what I'm supposed to do, listen to Main? Do what he says? When I say this to others they ask 'that's it' but that's too much, to be honest. Do you know what your work is?". Being honest even I never knew what exactly is my job here "Just lead the whole mission I guess?". "Laisy then what the hell is Main Gust doing, if you are leading what is he doing saying 'Yes' to all the plans? Isn't he ordering you to do stuff, isn't he giving you deadlines? If things don't go the way he wants you are done here. No assistants know what they are supposed to do actually". Ya exactly what she said is right if in case things don't go his way I'm done.

Nono's tests were almost done now, its already been 15 days today is his final 2 tests and altogether his results come today. It will be based on today's report which Stephen submits that whether to accept Nono138 or not. Dad and I were nervous and Uber knew that well poor he was trying his best to c***k jokes and help us out but nothing worked.

It was all quiet when I reached Main's office. Stephen was already there with the final report. He told me he would keep me updated with Nono's progress but he didn't. I went stood close to him and whispered "You did tell you'll inform me about his progress ya?". "Ya but Main said nothing should be out so had to keep it to myself. He would have felt like I'll tell you. He asked me what is the point of conducting an official meeting to get the report if it's already out in other ways. So.......really sorry".

"Stephen... so....we all would like to hear the report," Main called Stephen from the end of the long white luxury meeting table. There were many people from high posts seated there and a few government officials. Stephen stood up "Good morning all, so we have conducted 56 tests for Nono138. It included temperature tolerance test, pressure maintenance test, pressure adjustment test, immediate response test, storage memory test, energy time period test, landing capability, take off energy, utility, charging capacity, time is taken for analysis of things, camera quality, vision test, material ability test, and fastness test. All practical easy, medium, and difficult levels along with a power usage test for each. Each test had 3 chances to try and pass, Nono138 has passed most tests within 1st or 2nd try. It is a very capable robot, made with the best available materials and new techniques in the best possible manner. The reports are all made, clearly prepared, and signed. "

"So we can soon start the necessary needs for landing ya? I have already sent the mail to the government 2 weeks back informing this. It will be great if we can soon start this without much delay. I and my department are all prepared. So.....when are we gonna get permission for UFO?" Main Gust asked the government officials who looked very impressed with the work and who now had to decide to let us use the UFO or not. They are here to make sure the mission could be of some use and inform their higher government officers. The spaceship will be carried in UFO and let out in space near the satellite of Earth, the Moon. Then after landing on the Moon and analyzing it well, Nono will have to move towards the Earth in the spaceship and pass through the ozone and travel close to the Earth's surface, and land on a suitable area. Then it will have to analyze 1st the surrounding, then smaller creatures of the area slowly followed by higher creatures. That's the whole plan now. "Ha.....great Main Gust, we appreciate yours and your team's effort," government officials said. His effort seriously, what has he done anyway? They continued "We'll soon sanction it, no worries. We are very impressed, keep it up all. We'll soon give our approval to the government, soon enough it will be sanctioned. Hardly 2 days, we'll mail you when all done. We may leave now." they soon moved out of the office and left.

"We did the work, it's our effort. Why is it always others who get credit for that?" Bea said moving closer to me. She was very careful not to use Main Gust's name as he would understand soon then. "Whatever it is I'm happy Nono138 made it Bea," I said with a wide smile looking over at Stephen who was agreeing with me. Can this mission be so easy like I already get the feel of victory. But if it was so easy then why couldn't they do this earlier?
