MY ONE DESIRE

CHAPTER TWO

"I have fixed an arrange marriage for you and I want you to get married to him." I don't think i heard that right.

" WHAT!" I hope he didn't mean he wants me to get married.

"Nally you heard me," my dad said noticing my confused face

"Oh yes! I heard you and what do you mean you want me to get married, i'm just seventeen and you want me to marry a complete stranger."

I retorted angrily.

"Look! I didn't come here to get your opinion, the business is going bankrupt and i and your step mom have tried our best to bring it up and this is the only way out of it." He replied.

I looked at the man sitting right in front of me who used to be my dad, i'm really ashamed to call him my dad, after my mother died he really just abandoned me and married another woman, i'm not mad that he did, i just wished he told me at least.

Finding out your dad got married from a magazine ain't so nice.

"What do you mean my step mom, she has no right to make a decision based on my life." I replied

"Look Nally like I said I didn't

come here for your opinion, I and

Scarlet just need you to do this so that the business can function all you need to do is to get married to him, besides you can still go to school ."

And with that he walked away, he didn't usual care about my feelings as he just left me confused and lost. like whose father in their right senses will want their child to get married to a man for money.

Days like this, is when I wish my mum was here to tell me how to handle this situation and i'm sure if she was here I don't think any of this will even happen at all.

I went up to my room laying down on my bed crying, all these four years i have been in this house alone faced with my fears alone. I've been bullied a lot of times with no one to help me. sometimes I even come home injured.

The bully started after she died, i lost myself, lost my sense of style, lost my happiness. At a point i learnt how to clean myself and I just wish she was here with me. I wish she was I stared at the celling lost in my thoughts.

I woke up with a really bad headache , i stood up from my bed as the sun rays almost blinded my eyes , i winced my head in pain as all the memories came back flooding and the dream. i stood up to close the windows as the sun rays didn't help me with the headache i walked to th bathroom to get ready for school as i tried to clean and redress the wound on my back , yeah i had wounds a lot of them as i got them like every day being the nerd of the school. I dressed up quickly as i looked at the time , i needed to be in school in thirty minute time or i will be late . I locked the door and started walking down the road . I walked down the street thinking all about my dad said yesterday i sill can believe he wants his only daughter to get married to a stranger which am not even sure if am still his only daughter since he has another wife .

I steeped  into the school compound still lost in my thought but then i still got the attention of everyone the bad attention i never wanted people started insulting me but then i managed to use my hoodie to cover my face, even if i was kinda used to the insult but its still hurts. 

I opened my locker to bring out my books but discovered someone was standing beside me.

                    "what do you want" i said to the tall standing beside me i didn't know what he looked like since i didn't bother looking at him.                                                                                                                                                   

  "sorry to disturb you but am new here and am lost so could you help you direct me to the reception"                                                                                                                                                                                 

I showed he to the reception real quick so he could get away from me i didn't need anyone to cause more trouble for me and as i showed him the way i could feel many eyes on me which just gave me a bad feeling that i was in trouble.
