Chapter:18(Idea!)

Lily's POV

How am I going to save Delian? I want to run away far from all the problems in this world. Both Delian and Della gave me love and support which I needed for a long time. Will my conscience let me leave just like that?

Am I going to act like a coward in order to stay from troubles? Can I ignore everything and ditch Delian to the trap of betrayal?

Can my innocent self be claimed as pawn pf conspiracy?

NO! I will not leave Delian to be a scapegoat. I will save him even if I have to give up my pitiful life.

I can never live my life in peace that my loved people will be harmed by backstabbers while I flee for my life.

I need to warn Delian beforehand of the upcoming dangers.

If I say it directly then I will have to give them proof which is not in my hand.

I know Delian will believe what I say, but others will not accept it without concrete evidence. I need to defeat them in their own style.

The game has just started!

I am walking inside the Palace admiring the interior decoration done by the former King.

I have to admit that the former King which is technically my uncle had a modern taste.

The walls were painted in light blue and white shade. The pillars were painted golden with black vertical design. There is a wide flat screen T.V in each room.

The palace is enormous having 60 bedrooms. The outside of the palace has grey color with white borders.

The interior tiles are white with grey shade. There are two outside pools the castle. The indoor pool is about the size of five guest rooms. A jacuzzi is connected to the indoor pool.

I loved the gym room which is also a weapon room and a training is just beside it.

There are plenty of scented candles in all of the rooms. I absolutely love scented candles which I probably got from the royal genes.

Even dad also owned a lot of scented candles, he used to buy more candles which often made mom angry. She used to quarrel a lot with dad which he resolved by giving her flowers and other stuff. The mate-bond really worked between them.

Due to unfortunate reasons, very few people find their true love. Some get true love, but doesn't cherish it. Others are not lucky enough to be with their love of life.

If it's not true then people can take my example. I miss Jacob a lot. Not even a single second passes of my life without remembering him. I sound so pathetic, but my love for him will never end. No matter how much I say I hate him, deep inside my heart I know I am lying. My blessing turned into a curse.

"My highness the King has demanded your presence," a palace guard said after bowing.

I am going to Delian's personal office to meet him. I don't know why he wants to meet me. In one way it's good that he wants to meet me. I wanted to meet him to talk about the incident that occurred today.

I knocked the door once I reached his office. A usual 'Come in' came from the other side of the room.

I entered the room saying, "Hello, Delian."

He instantly looked at me after hearing my voice.

"Please sit down, Lily."

I sat down on the chair that was in front of him.

Delian wore a black suit with a white shirt. It looked like he always had to wear formal clothes everywhere. How hard his life must be just only thinking about his clothes not to mention his responsibility towards his kingdom.

"Before you say anything, I just want to say that I am very much sorry for my behavior before. I know that you wanted me to be safe, otherwise why would you use the angry tone on me. But, I really want to take the ritual. Just listen to me it's really important for not my life but also yours," I pleaded.

"NO. I know you are doing this for me. I am ready to give up the kingdom and it is not for only you, rather I never wanted to be bounded by the rules which are set for a true King. Anyways, I can't put you into danger," he sighed.

"You are the best King I've ever known. You were meant to be the king, because it was written in your destiny. My life is not only in danger instead your life is!" I said to make him understand the situation.

"What do you mean? Is it that you know something that is a life threat for me?" he furrowed getting my indications.

"Yes."

"Come with me," he said walking out of the room to somewhere.

We reached a lonely corridor. It seems like no one came here for ages. The paint of the walls was crumbling apart. Cool breeze was flowing from the north. I know Delain wanted to talk in a place where no one could hear us. As the saying goes, walls also have ears.

We stood at the end of the corridor facing a wall.

"What are we doing here?" I asked being confused.

"Wait a minute," Delian replied.

He pushed a brick of the damp wall revealing a beautiful garden. We both went inside the garden after which the door closed all off a sudden.

I walked around the garden mesmerized by its beauty. I noticed that the grass was mowed as if someone had been taking care of the garden.

"You take of it, don't you?" I asked suspiciously.

He nodded and sat on a nearby bench. He tapped the side of the bench letting me know to sit there. I sat beside him playing with the hem of my dress.

"Spill the beans Lily," he said being serious.

"Today when I was going out for a run, I heard two of the council members saying that they wanted to use me as a pawn to get remove you from the position. After they accomplish their plan, they will also get rid of me."

I told him rest of the details except my little plan of meeting Zeleb.

At the end of my speech, he tried to bang the wall which he couldn't do because of me. This guy really has a hobby of punching the wall.

I cooled him down as an idea popped in my head.

"I have a plan to expose them," I smiled.

He came near me and I whispered the plan. I should be a detective for my planning skills.

"This plan is really good! Why didn't I think of it?" he exclaimed in wonder.

"Because, boys are not as good as girls. And you should really give up the habit of hitting walls," I laughed.

He hit me playfully on my head and we both began to laugh.

Hello, my cupcakes! I kept my promise today! Inspite of being tired of doing my classes and homework for the last 6 hours I edited the chapter
