Another level of harshness

Brielle’s POV I woke up the next day by my alarm going off. I turned around coming face to face with Cara’s face looking at me. She was smiling ear to ear as I groaned. “Good morning babe,” I said to her as I smiled vividly, “Good morning to you too,” She said to me removing the strands of hair from my face. She came close, kissing me as I moaned softly. “I should get going,” I said to her pulling away from her as she pulled my waist closer to her “In a minute” She whispered king my earlobe. I moved away from her, lightly kissing her lips before I jumped out of bed. “I should get going, that man, I am working with his on another level of being harsh,” I said to her as I went to the bathroom. I heard her growling as I went to brush my teeth. I quickly took a shower and went to get dressed as Cara watched me. She wasn’t going out until around ten O’clock. “So, what do you think about the contract?” I questioned her as I went on putting on my makeup. “Well, it sounds okay; I am sure you will be fine but I would ask a lawyer,” she said getting out of bed. “I will do that,” I said to her as I went to put on my dress, I had picked a black short-sleeved dress with A grey Coat. I looked at it, held my curves nicely, as I looked in the mirror. “I think you look exquisite,” She said to me as I smiled briefly before going to get my handbag. “I will see you later,” I said to her, kissing her lips before heading out of the house. I quickly rushed to the Subway before going to get on. I found no empty seats, so just hold on as it moved. Luckily, I wore flat shoes otherwise I would have blisters today. I arrived at my station quickly, getting out as I rushed through the street. He had insisted that I reach at work at half-past six in the morning and I only had a few minutes before it was. I sighed in with my new ID rushing to the elevator. “Good morning” I greeted Leah who briefly smiled at me “Morning?” She said glancing at me, I looked at the elevator screen waiting for my floor. People kept coming out and when I was sure I would be alone; I pulled my heels out of my bag, putting them on. I checked my hair for the last time before going out. I went to my desk checking my watch, and since I was there five minutes earlier, I quickly turned on my computer and went to turn on the coffeemaker for him. I heard the elevator doors open, and I lifted my head ready to welcome him, “Good morning” I greeted him vividly smiling at him as held my hands, “Good morning” He responded in his flat voice going in his office. I sighed heavily going to the kitchen and getting him his coffee. I walked in saying nothing and placed the tray on his desk as he took off his jacket. I quickly rushed, going to help him. “What’s my schedule for today?” He questioned me as I took a deep breath. “You have a meeting with the director of finance at eight o’clock, followed by a presentation at the university and a meeting with the minister of commerce for lunch,” I said to him as I went to hang the jacket. “Okay, I want you to set up the meeting with the managing director at SK property developers, I still want to meet the owner,” He said to me as I swallowed hard, I didn’t even know who to contact at SK. I Slighted nodded my head in affirmation as I walked out of the office, I quickly grabbed my phone texting Cara if she knew anyone at SK Property developers. She didn’t respond, so I went ahead looking for a contact, but nothing came up. I sighed heavily, looking at the watch as it moved. After trying o find a contact number, I received a call from him. “Did you manage?” He questioned me as I took a deep breath. “I can’t find a contact number.” I truthfully said to him as I heard him sigh through the phone before cutting me off. I slowly put the phone back on the ringer as I bite my lower lip, thinking of where to get the number. I received an email from him, I quickly opened the email and he had sent me a file. I opened the file, and it had all his contacts. I sighed heavily, quickly noting the number; I went ahead calling them, but not before sending a message to him saying thank you. I went ahead calling the people he wanted me to talk to; I called several times before the secretary finally picked up. “Hello? My name is Brielle Griffins, I am calling from DENK holdings.” I introduced myself to the lady who had picked up. “yes, how can I help you?” the woman said with her voice giving out cold vibes “Well, I would like to set up an appointment to meet with the managing director, when can you accommodate us?” I questioned through the phone. “I am sorry I didn’t get where you are from” She questioned as I went ahead repeating myself “DENK Holdings,” I said “I thought I was clear last time you called that he has no time to meet with you people?” She rudely said as I swallowed hard. Why didn’t he mention it? “I am sorry, I just thought that maybe you could have changed your mind. Please, it will be worth it meeting with us,” I said to her and before I could say anything more, I heard the line go dead. I put down the phone, sighing heavily as I looked at the door; I got startled as II found him standing there with his hands in his pockets, with a straight face. “She said they couldn’t meet with us,” I said to him as he tilted his head to the side. “Make sure I have that meeting,” he said, walking back in his office as I swallowed hard. What was I going to do? These people he wanted to meet didn’t want to meet with us. Yet he wanted me to force them to meet with us?
