Chapter Nine

CHAPTER 9

Aurora left the dungeon and went straight for the Alpha supreme, Jayden to give him her report. She reached the front of his office and knocked the door but she didn’t get any response.

‘Or... is the Alpha not available?’ She thought before knocking again but she still didn’t get any response. She wanted to open the door and look inside but the door was locked. Out of curiosity, she put her ears close to the door and listened carefully but she could only hear the sounds of tiny animals chattering and running around.

‘He’s not inside.’ She thought to herself. Knowing this, she turned around and headed to the kitchen after deciding to come back later.

Unfortunately, as she was returning, an old figure stopped before her. Although he looked old, the aura he exuded made Aurora shudder immediately. She dropped the basket on her hand and gasped with fear.

Although the man in front of her was old, Aurora could both see and sense the aura of a deadly demon around him. She kept shaking and shaking but she couldn’t get over it.

“Is there something wrong, my child?” The old man said as he looked at her suspiciously. Aurora snapped out of her daze and she looked at the man with fearful eyes. She shook her head vigorously before picking up the basket she dropped and bowing.

She quickly walked past the man, as she almost felt like she could be eaten at any moment. The old man glanced at her as she ran down the hall before shrugging.

“I wonder why she’s scared.” He muttered before walking forward.

Meanwhile, Aurora reached the kitchen door and slammed it. She leaned on the door and panted as the aura she sensed still haunted her memory. Suddenly, a finger tapped her shoulder and her heart almost left her chest as she looked back with fear written all over her face as she almost felt like running away. If she had a voice, she would scream her life out.

Fortunately for her, it was just her friend, Lily. The maid herself was scared when she saw her friend jump from fright.

“What is wrong with you?” Lily asked. Lily’s voice calmed her down a little bit. She held her chest and heaved a big sigh of relief. She waved at her while panting, to signify that she was fine.

“You said the same thing last time. Are you sure you’re okay? You know you can always talk to me.” Lily said with a hint of concern on her face.

Aurora was slowly beginning to calm down and she wanted to talk, but when she noticed Lily’s bulged belly, she decided against it and smiled instead.

(It’s nothing, my friend. I was just running as I didn’t want to get here late.) she gestured and faked a smile. Lily felt a bit creeped out by the smile and knew that Aurora was hiding something from her, but she didn’t ask further.

“Well... if you say so.” She said before turning back, “I was just about to come find you to inform you that the Alpha Supreme wants you in his quarters, in case you can’t find him in his office.” She relayed before returning to the main kitchen.

Aurora gave a thumbs-up with a smile on her face. She couldn’t bear to put a burden on her pregnant friend. She was happy for Lily and she would do whatever it takes to put her out of harm's way, the same way Lily did for her when they were young.

She turned to face the door and calmed herself down.

‘I’m going to the Alpha Supreme’s chambers.’ She thought to herself but a thought struck her and her eyes widened.

‘Wait... the Alpha Sepreme’s chambers?!’ she exclaimed.

In Jayden’s wide chambers, the atmosphere was pleasurable. On the big bed in the chambers, Jayden was on lying on his bed. His eyes were filled with ecstasy, and the same with the lady above him.
