CHAPTER 37
Aurora took food to Lucas the next morning but she didn’t seem in much of a good mood. Although tried not to show it, Lucas was able to realize it.
“Are you okay, Aurora? Something seems to be bothering you.” He asked. At the stage he’s in, he doesn’t want to be in a situation whereby his getaway would be having doubts. For that will be quite disastrous to his plan.
(I’m fine. Thanks for asking.) Aurora gestured and faker a smile, but Lucas could still tell that something was wrong somewhere. To reassure himself he needed to be sure.
“Whatever might be wrong, do not let it affect our plans,” Lucas said with a serious face. The smile on Aurora’s face disappeared and she nodded. The sort of determination on her face made Lucas feel reassured.
