CHAPTER 19
It was daybreak already, and Aurora was about to deliver Lucas’s breakfast for him. She got to his cell but saw that he was still asleep. She walked closer to him and dropped the basket before bending before him. She saw his peaceful face and she smiled.
Her smile was filled with love, and it seemed like a mother watching her child sleep. She didn't feel like waking him up, as he seemed to be sleeping soundly. She placed her hand on his face and called his name.
“Lucas.” She called. Although no sound came out, she believed that Lucas could hear it and she kept calling him this way.
“Wake up, Lucas.” She said and Lucas opened his eyes to see Aurora looking as beautiful as ever. The latter kept up her smile and greeted him, “Good morning, Lucas.”
