Marriage of Convience with an Idol

Chapter 7 - Home

After a ton of days. Laurene and Jennie didn't stop throwing texts, Jennie is still being the bold one while Laurene is riding to it but also her heart is beating and she felt butterflies to her stomach. Laurene being the teasy girl she is she likes to tease Jennie a lot causing Jennie to whine nonstop.

Laurene really loves and she usually coos Jennie a lot. Whenever Jennie wants Laurene's selfies and Laurene is planning to tease her she doesn't have any choice but to whine because she realizes that Laurene really loves it.

Laurene was already feeling comfortable towards the idol especially they are throwing text from time to time they even tried to call and do video calls since Laurene is really lazy to type sometimes. Of course, Jennie on the other hand fell in love more she knew that everything is perfect nicely.

Jennie has been working on everything in the penthouse. Her members helped her especially repainting the walls that Laurene likes and redesigning some furniture. She doesn't want to hire some workers because she wants to show Laurene that she's willing to do everything for her and give everything to her.

They have been doing it for one week and to her surprise, it was finished one day before Laurene comes home, she also bought some new things for her dogs and Laurene's and displayed all the gifts that their friends gave.

Jennie was currently sitting in the living room, she called Dohyun, Dowon, and Leslie to come and look out the place. Jisoo was with her since Lisa and Roseanne are doing something at the company. Just then, Jennie heard a knock on the door and she opened it.

"Mommy, Dowon" Jennie gave them a hug, and Dowon pat her shoulder "Come in" The married couple came in and she realized that Dohyun is not around

"I'm here," Dohyun said holding a box so Jennie opened the door widely

"You should have to ask your Dad to help Dohyun," Leslie said wiping the dirt in his cheeks "No, I can do it" Dohyun looked around as Jennie closed the door, She looked at Leslie, Dowon, and Dohyon who's looking around and rechecking some things. Jennie told them that they will tour them.

The kitchen was marbled white, all the appliances are luxurious and it came from America. The new plates are also displayed in the new cups and utensils.

The living room was consists of some new furniture, There are scented candles and the walls are color gray. The wedding picture was also hanging on the wall and Laurene's photoshoots and hers. The next thing is the master's bedroom it was color white and the big bed that she will share soon with Laurene.

Jennie counties the tour explaining how she finished everything for one week. They are all gathered in the living room and Jennie gave them some juice and some sandwich to eat.

"Do you think Laurene will love this?" Jennie asked a bit nervous, she really doesn't know if her wife will love it. She really wanted to impress her and wanted her to be happy. She was just looking at Laurene's parents.

"Laurene will love this, she really loves marble things and it's very luxurious. She will surely appreciate this" Leslie said looking around, Jennie sighed in relief and looked at the box "Mind to tell me what's in the box?" The idol asked and Dohyun smiled and nodded. The boy opened it and Jennie got confused to see all the vintage things.

"Uh? what exactly is that?" Jennie asked curiously as Leslie smiled and took the Antique Typewriter 

"Laurene really likes Antique things, this typewriter is mine and Ben's. She's trying to keep all the things that Ben and I used she doesn't want to sell them. In her company in Los Angeles the typewriter that her Grandparents used was in her office she still uses it sometimes but she just displays it since it looks good in her office. She really likes vintage and retros. Maybe you could put this in her office at this house. Is it already fixed?" Leslie asked 

Jennie was looking at the things she found it cool that her wife really like these things. She even found some old cameras that surely Lisa and her members will be happy to see it "I haven't, maybe you guys can help me design it?" Jennie asked 

"Oh, you know I won't say no to that" Dowon said causing Jennie to smile 

"Me too," Dohyun said brightly 

"Alright, let's start" 

They started to work on Laurene's office, originally when Jennie was staying in the penthouse this is usually her office to work on something but now that she has a wife that is working in the company she will need this more. Jennie bought some wallpapers, It was just ten in the morning and surely this will be finished in the evening. Leslie was the one cleaning the vintage things that she bought. 

Jennie being the girl who loves to build and fix things she builds a display case it's very coincidence since she needs to put all her awards in that case. Dohyun decided to work on the wallpapers with the help of Dowon while Jennie worked on the display case. She will be changing the wood and cleaning the glass. Just then, Lisa, Roseanne, and Jisoo came with food. The girls were surprised to see the adults, they decided to take a break and have some snacks. 

They came back with working the girls helped so it will be much easier to design and finish everything early. Once Jennie was done fixing the display cabinet, the wallpaper is done, the vintage things are all cleaned they already decided where they would place everything. Leslie explained that Laurene loves to see a beautiful view while she's working so Jennie decided to place the table in the big window that will surely see the view. 

The girls helped Jennie push the display cabinet near the bathroom door, Jennie also decided to put on a couch so her wife could lay down if she became exhausted. Once everything was in place the girls and Jennie decided to put all the vintage things in the display case. Lisa was so amazed seeing an old camera while the two girls were amazed by Leslie's stories about it. Jennie was checking if the Typewriter is still working but to her dismay, it wasn't working anymore. 

"Do you have any idea how to fix it Noona?" Dohyun asked while looking at it 

"I tried to fix it but it's still not working," Dowon said 

"I see, the main problem is the Ribbon Installation this usually occurs in two areas how to ribbon I placed around the spools and how it is fitted on the ribbon vibrator. If the ribbon's typography gets filthy or smeared, the characters on the paper will be illegible. The ribbon will very certainly need to be changed in this scenario." Jennie said while still looking, Dowon and Dohyun was surprised not being able to process while the girls are just blinking not knowing what to say and Leslie was just grinning even though she doesn't understand what Jennie said 

"I guess I will just replace the ribbon. I have some in my family's house" They just nodded and Jennie just displayed the typewriter. Promising she will fix this before Laurene arrived tomorrow. They continued the small things until it was already complete. Jennie and the rest of the people beside her were grinning. Leslie was very much thankful that Jennie is very understanding and hardworking she is really showing how much she loves her wife. 

The girls and Leslie cooked dinner while Jennie is already upstairs, she was just finished taking a bath. It was already seven in the evening it means it's four in the morning in Los Angeles. Jennie was smiling from ear to ear since she was back reading her conversation with her wife. Jennie is already trying to show her affection and goos thing Laurene was fine with it so she needs to step up her game now that her wife is already coming home tomorrow. 

Jennie came down and the food was already served, she sat beside Jisoo. They are listening to Dohyun's story it was about Daeun's experience when she was a trainee. Of course, Jennie was listening because she also wanted to know her sister-in-law's experience as a trainee in YG knowing she also experienced that for eight years of training. Just then, Leslie already started talking about Dohyun's plan when he finished school. Jennie was indeed happy knowing Dohyun will follow in his sister's footsteps and he also asked about Lisa's dance academy soon. 

Jennie was surprised that Dohyun danced since Dowon confessed that he was a dance mentor back when he was in his 20s of course the girls praised him and even asked him to help them sometimes when they are struggling with the steps, of course, Dowon didn't say no that especially his daughter in law was also an idol. The girls also learned about Laurene's experience when she was in her teens, Leslie explained how Laurene manage her time, how she takes care of herself, and at the same time her Dad. Leslie even confessed that she wanted to stay with Laurene for about a month but she has no time because she has some busy schedules now this is just her time to spend her time with her first daughter. 

Of course, Dowon and Dohyun understand that because of course, Laurene is still her child. One thing that Dowon just wished maybe someday soon she can adopt Laurene since he felt her wife's daughter that he still needs a man in her life. Jennie was happy knowing Laurene's new people in her life were very supportive and also waiting for her to be comfortable with them for sure she's one of them and she promised she will do everything just for her and no one will stop her. 

Jennie explained to her brother-in-law the company that her parents were running. It was just like the agency and company that Laurene has but based in Korea. She also said that their company was like the baby version of Laurene's but she also explained they also have a company regarding business she will also be managing that soon when she has already decided whether she will renew her contract in the agency or not. But, she can also do both she really doesn't mind. 

The night continued and they are telling some funny stories, laughing and the adults are getting to know Jennie's members more while the girls are asking about Laurene more. Leslie really found that the girls really like her daughter to Jennie since they explained how Jennie is really whipped and even planning to steal her away from Ben and her. Of course, Jennie is blushing hard and trying to stop them but their members aren't listening. The two boys are just laughing finding it very hilarious. At least, they know that Jennie's intentions are good and just plan to make a family and love the CEO. 

Around ten in the evening when they all go home. Jennie washed all the dishes and have a rest on the couch, Kuma instantly went to her lap as Jennie patted the dog's head. She was looking at the big picture frame, it was their wedding picture. It was the best day of her life and she just hope that someday soon Laurene will give any importance to it. She knows it was a long way to go to have her trust but she's willing to wait and be patient because she knows that love shouldn't be rushed. 

Jennie sigh and stood up wanting to rest, she wasn't the one picking up her wife since her wife's planes will land in Incheon Airport for sure a lot of photographers and Dispatch will be there. They don't want to get caught. Laurene promised her that she will just see her in the entertainment since she has a meeting with the three CEOs. With that, Jennie already went to her dreamland. 

Meanwhile was already on her way to Korea. It was her last flight and after three stopovers this is already the last one. She is very exhausted even her two dogs named Lei and Liz of course before they leave Los Angeles Laurene made sure that all the money will be going straight to her company in Korea, even though she trusted all the employees in her company she still has some trust issues of leaving the money with them, they just need to contact her if they need the money. The CEO of her company in Los Angeles was her well-known and professional manager named Megan, while the music agency is being managed by her manager while the hotel and restaurant were being checked every day by her assistants. 

Of course, Laurene visited her dad's grave for the last time together with her dogs. Promising Ben that she will come back very soon maybe she'll bring Jennie to finally see her Dad. Laurene sighs and rests her head in her seat. Suzy was beside her reading some magazines. She was in business class, of course, all her professional's bodyguard was with her even her three personal assistants. It was really her Dad's order to protect his only daughter at all costs. Laurene is all close to them they are just like a group of friends. Laurene was looking at the window when Suzy spoke. 

"Are you planning to train some Koreans who are willing to be an actress?" Suzy asked looking at her laptop while Laurene looked at her curiously 

"No, did you already open the auditions for the idol section?" Laurene asked looking at Suzy 

"I did, should I close it again?" Laurene shook her head "Did someone pass an acting audition?" Laurene asked and Suzy nodded and even showed it to her boss. Laurene smiled since she was so good "We can accept her but just her, We can't handle a ton of trainees since I'm also handling a survival show" Suzy nodded and emailed the girl who auditioned. 

Laurene sighs and closed her eyes, she really likes managing this kind of thing since her Grandmother Leslie's side was also experienced being a trainee while her grandparents on Ben's side was singer and model so it wasn't very surprising that Laurene is also a talented girl and a celebrity. It seems like that her Dad and Mom are also showing that they didn't just want her to marry Jennie just to keep their friendship stronger with Jennie's parents and pass the wealth but also to continue to have a celebrity or idol in her life. 

Laurene is just the only child of Walton's meaning in Ben's side family Laurene is their first grandchild she's the Unica Hija. Ben really doesn't have a big family he's the only child this is also the reason why he really protects his only daughter it was also ordered by Ben's parents. Of course, they knew Laurene's marriage they are very happy that Laurene married an idol and they couldn't wait to meet them Laurene promised them that they will meet her soon. 

Being an only child, being the only granddaughter just hits different knowing her parent's family side was a celebrity back then she will instantly become famous.  It was hard for her at first but she got used to it when she became a CEO and a model. 

Laurene opened her eyes and looked at Suzy who's typing

"Hey, Suzy?" Suzy smiled and looked at her boss as she ask what's wrong "Does Roseanne knows that you were the one that she has a one-night stand with?" Suzy wasn't surprised by the question at all. They are really like a sister and best friends, Suzy usually tells all about her whereabouts. 

"She actually manages to remember everything when she saw me at your wedding" Laurene raised her brow and smiled 

"What happened?" The CEO turned her full attention wanting to know everything, Suzy chuckled and closed her laptop

"We actually talked all about it after I came out from the room you were staying in. She confessed that she was trying to find me and even asked the employees in the bar that we met and Now, that we've met she confessed that she likes me and you know to ask me out on a date" Lauren formed an 'o' but squealed 

"So, you'll meet her at the company?" Laurene asked as she nodded wanting to show her boss if she can, Laurene shook her head while smiling "You need a break. Go on a date with her and get to know each other. I really don't mind, you shouldn't drown yourself just working you should also do the things that you like" 

Suzy squeezed her boss's shoulder "Thank you, but just so you know I'm happy working in the company, I love working in that place, I need to look after you. I can't leave you for twenty minutes because I wanted to know if you're doing okay and still breathing" Laurene chuckled and Suzy smiled "I know being an only child is hard especially when your parents are you know separated"

"But in your case, you don't have your parents," Laurene said

"I already don't have them but I know they are still in my heart and they are looking at me from above. To be honest with you, I consider you as my family your like my sister." Laurene couldn't help but grin 

"How'd you say that?" The curious Laurene asked while smiling

"Even though I was supposed to be looking out for you, You mostly look out for me, you helped with my problems, my shits in life, and my needs. You treat me well that I really appreciate a lot. You are my role model because you inspired me to work hard and to be a professional like you. I'm still really thinking about how in the world did I reach this." Laurene just hugged Suzy tightly. To be honest, Suzy can't stop texting her if she's away for too long asking her if she was okay, she never leaves her side whenever they are shopping together or at work, she still stops by at her house just to check on her and ask her if she was doing alright. Suzy was like her big sister because she is older than her. 

"I'm thankful that you're here just so you know and you're like my big sister. You deserve that though, you're really working hard and I couldn't be more thankful because you are here to help me" Suzy sighed and lean in her after a two-minute hug Laurene pulled out "Even though I'm married please stay" Suzy giggled and looked at her 

"You know I won't" Laurene chuckled but she wanted to ask a question

"Uh, Incase that you and Roseanne are really for each other and had kids. Uhm, are gonna allow them to be an idol?" Laurene wanted to ask this since her wife is an idol even though they are just in Arranged Marriage there's the chance that she might fall in love with Jennie and everything works out pretty well. She couldn't deny her admiration towards her wife, especially since her cheesy line is too serious. 

"Hmmm, Roseanne really likes music so there are chances that one of them will be an idol but in my perspective I want one of them to work in your company. You know, be like me so your future child can be friends with them" Laurene smiled "Why? are you thinking of having kids with Jennie?" Suzy wiggled her eyebrows and Laurene chuckled. 

"Maybe, knowing Jennie is an idol some of them can be an idol too but we don't know if she is really the one. You know I'm still at the level of getting completely comfortable towards her" Laurene said 

"We'll get there" Laurene smiled at Suzy and sighed. It's not like she wants to rush to have kids but all she wants is a real family and have her own kid. She wanted to feel what it's like to be a mother and to be the best wife but there's this urge of her that she's showing Jennie that she's not a cold person but a soft one. Laurene just closed her eyes and try to fall asleep. 

Laurene just arrived in Korea, of course, a lot of photographers and her fans were there. It became hard passing and walking to the exit since it was so crowded that even Laurene's bodyguards are having a hard to finding it but good thing Suzy knows the way. Here she is now in the car on the way to her wife's entertainment, both of her dog's head was in her lap while Suzy is in the passenger seat. She just threw Jennie a text and looked at the window. Just then, her phone vibrates, and smiled when she saw it was from Jennie.

My Wifey:

You're on your way here??? I can't wait to see you!! Finally, I'm gonna be seeing your Gorgeous face again

Laurene smiled and blushed 

Laurene (Wifey):

Oh really? Can I hug you when I see you? 

Laurene doesn't know but she badly needs a hug from her. Even though she has a hug from Suzy it's not enough or maybe she just wants to hug her because of her whines that she always coo at. 

Jennie, on the other hand, couldn't stop jumping from happiness her members were looking at her weirdly not wanting to ask what's going on because they found it weird. She just can't believe Laurene wanted her hug and of course, she wouldn't deny that.

My Wifey:

Of course, why do you want my hug? Did you miss me? I know I'm Gorgeous 

Laurene scoffed and giggle

Laurene (Wifey):

Don't be such a full of yourself. You can't do anything I'll hug you

My Wifey:

oooooh. Okay, then Honey I won't say no to that 

Laurene just shake her head while grinning. They are already near and her dogs were looking at the window seeing the tall buildings. She was wearing her business outfit from YSL and a high heel. She needs to be presentable knowing she's gonna be facing to face with the CEOs of the entertainment. After a good, twenty minutes they finally arrived. Suzy and William came out first while Romel took out Lei and Liz with muzzles of course they had to know these two dogs are Dobermans and even though they are trained they also tend to bite. 

Laurene fixed herself as William opened the car door for her, there are fans outside the entertainment and they waved at everyone and she decided to stay outside for a minute so the photographers had a chance to take some pictures. After five minutes, all her bodyguards surround Laurene as they came inside, Suzy is just behind her and looking at her schedule. Laurene was about to enter the elevator when someone called her. It was her sister, Daeun. Laurene smiled and opened her arms when Daeun is coming closer to her. 

She engulfed her with a hug and kiss the top of her head "What are you doing here? she asked and pulled out the hug 

"I heard some commotion and people shouting your name so I decided to come down" Laurene smiled and the elevator opened, they both went inside and Daeun cling to her 

"I've heard that you're gonna have a comeback? Aren't you supposed to be recording?" The CEO asked 

"I just finished recording my part. Are you gonna have a meeting?" Laurene hummed and fixed her hair "I will see you later or tomorrow?" 

"Well if you will go home tomorrow you'll see me. I'm gonna be going home straight at Jennie's penthouse" Daeun grinned and kiss her sister's cheek. The elevator opened meaning it was Daeun's stopped. Laurene said bye to her and she left. Laurene sigh and wait another 7 more floors just then the elevator dinged and the doors opened. Her eyes widened seeing her Wife Jennie and her members standing with their mouths hanging open. Suzy is trying not to smile since they look like they saw a ghost while Laurene raises her brow trying not to grin since she saw Jennie's cheeks. The idols came back to reality when one of Laurene's bodyguards came out from the other elevator with Lei and Liz. The four idols step aside wanting to pass the CEO. 

Once Laurene was out she turned to face her wife as Lisa and Jisoo elbowed her as they left. Roseanne was already with Suzy. Jennie came close to Laurene and open her arms. 

"Welcome back?" Jennie said a bit nervous wondering if the hug was true. Laurene chuckled and came close to her and slowly hug her. Jennie slowly circled her arms around her wife's waist since Laurene's arms were in her shoulder. Laurene feels like this is the warmth that she has been finding it feels like she's in her home. 

Jennie on the other hand felt complete. Finally, her wife is with her. After two weeks without her, it feels like her world are too lonely even though Laurene doesn't know what she truly feels about her. Laurene is her home it will always be her and her. Laurene slowly pulled out the hug and looked at Jennie. The door opened and Laurene saw that it was one of the staff that will be in the meeting. Laurene sigh 

"Shall we go home after my meeting?" she asked Jennie 

"Of course, I will be waiting for you outside" Laurene nodded and let go of Jennie. Quickly goes inside the meeting room because she badly wants to go home. Jennie on the other hand was zoned out since the hug was serious. Lisa and Jisoo pat her butt and Jennie groaned. 

"I see that Laurene is already being comfortable. When is the baby?" Jisoo and Lisa wiggled their eyebrows as Jennie flickered their forehead. 

"Stop it" Jennie rolled her eyes and left sitting with Roseanne. Jisoo and Lisa just laugh. 

After the two-hour meeting, Laurene is finally in Jennie's car. The two dogs are in the backseat good thing they didn't attack Jennie. Laurene fell asleep while Jennie is just admiring her when there's a stoplight. She just can't believe that her wife is her long-time crush. Laurene is indeed beautiful, perfect, and hot. All she wants is her. Not anyone. It was really in her dreams to marry Laurene and it finally happened. She looked at Laurene's left hand wherein the ring is on her ring finger. It fits so perfectly. She just wondered if her fans will fit perfectly if she has the chance to intertwine it with her. She's waiting for that moment. 

The green light went and Jennie drove off. It was a thirty-minute drive and the penthouse was also a private property that Laurene could really have her own privacy. Jennie gave out her card and parked the car, as much as she wants to see Laurene sleeping she needed to wake her up because they just arrived. She smiled wanting to call her the endearment that she wants. 

"Honey, wake up," Jennie said lightly rubbing her arms. Laurene instantly woke up not used to the scent of the car she instantly looked at Jennie and felt relief when she saw her wife "We're here" Jennie said as Laurene smiled and nodded. Jennie came out of the car and quickly went to open Laurene's side. Of course, Laurene blushed and mumbled a thank you. Romel took out the two dogs and Jennie pat their heads. 

Jennie was the one who held Laurene's duffle bags while going inside the penthouse. Laurene wanted to say that she can handle it but Jennie being stubborn she don't want her wife to hold anything. 

"Gentlewoman" Laurene said to her mind while looking at Jennie opening that penthouse. 

Laurene instantly looked around and she was amazed at how luxurious it is. She was also surprised that all the colors that she wants were applied to every part of the penthouse.  Jennie was just looking at her wondering if she likes it. They were in the living room and Laurene was looking around grinning. She even saw the wedding picture. 

"I can't believe you decided to hang this" Lauren said looking at it closely, she smiled when she saw how Jennie held her softly. 

"I had to. We own this penthouse" Laurene blushed and she looks at her dogs laying already at the Orthopedic Dog bed. She smiled her dogs seemed so comfortable. 

"Are you happy with this place?" Jennie asked curiously 

Laurene couldn't lie but this feels like "This is my Home. My new Home" Laureen said looking at Jennie straight in the eyes
