Chapter 5

Kierra POV

Clyde has been doing everything in his power to ask me out for weeks now. I’ve been casually turning him down thinking he’d give up but of course he doesn’t. I’m not sure why I keep telling him no honestly he just makes me so nervous. Finally one night he decided to sneak into my room through the window. For some reason I’m not surprised. What surprised me is his face is full of pure determination.

“I’ll make a deal with you” he said.

“ Um ok?” I stare at him curious and nervous.

“One date. If you hate it I'll let you put me back in the friend zone.” He said with a smirk.

I roll my eyes “ Ughhh fine.” I finally cave. What’s one date?

The weekend comes and I try to figure outhat what to wear. Ughh why am I stressing out over this? Finally I find a cute black dress, throw on some red heels, straighten then curl the ends of my hair.

“Kierra! Your date is here!” My mom yells. Oh how embarrassing.

As I walk down stair I see Clyde dress up in a suit and he looks so damn good. This is going to be harder then I thought. As I walk down the stairs I notice the way he’s starring at me. His eye were wide looking me and jaw slightly open.

“You look like a princess!“ Nina says. I blush, oh my family is so embarrassing I feel like I’m going to prom or something.

“Alright everyone lets leave these two alone” my dad says pushing everyone out the hall. Then turns to Clyde.

“Anything happens to her you’re dead” my father says. If my I didn’t think my face could get any redder I was wrong. I seriously think Clyde gulped loudly.

“Shall we?” He says opening the door nervously.

Honestly the date was perfect. He was perfect. Clyde took me to go eat and we got to catch up with each other. Once we got in the car I noticed we weren't heading to my house.

“Clyde? Where are we going?” I asked.

“ You didn’t think it was over did you?” He smirked.

He finally stopped in the middle of the woods. Opened my car door and took my hand. And we started to walk. We had walk a little extra slow because heels and grass aren’t really a great combo. When we finally reached our destination to say I was surprised was an understatement. Looking ahead was a clearing. A blanket and candles surrounding it. The moon was shinning brightly. It was beautiful. I turn to Cylde I’m shocked.

“It’s beautiful."

He smiled a genuine smile, “ I’m glad you like it.” He brings me to the blanket and we sit down. I can’t help but look at him and smile.

“Clyde I loved today but I can’t help but ask why? Why were you so persistent on taking me out? Going so out of your way to do all of this for me?” I couldn’t help but ask.

“ Because you’re the only girl I ever cared about. Since the day I met you I wanted you. I know I picked on you when we were kids but it was because I cared about you. I loved spending time with you. When you left I felt a part of me was missing. As cheesy as it sounds I’ll chase you Kierra. I want you and only you. I want to be with you. I’m not asking you to jump into a relationship with me. I’m just asking you to give us a chance wildfire.” He said smiling. I couldn’t help but smile. My life changed after that day. Our relationship bloomed within months then after a year he asked me marry him and to become his Luna.

He was my everything.
