She was surprised to see me in the car.

"Good morning," She said, stammering.

"Good morning, you look surprised" I said looking at the notification that popped up on my phone.

She didn't reply. The journey was silent till we reached our destination. Not that I'm interested in having conversations with her.

My girlfriend was not in the country and she would not be back anytime soon, so I had to inform her. She gave me a go ahead since the marriage is based on a contract but she hasn't seen her picture. She was the one that drafted the contract after we both debated on what should be on the contract before I forwarded it to my lawyer for him to review and bring it along.

I took her to one of the hotels owned by my grandfather.

"Please sit." I said. The lawyer was also waiting for me in my room.

Before I give you the contract let me tell you the reason I want to marry you.

"This marriage is based on a contract. I'm getting married to you to get my inheritance from my grandfather, he has less than six months on earth and I'm to marry within two weeks.Once he dies we will divorce. Lastly, I have a girlfriend. She is out of this country and she will be back soon.She is aware of this wedding. This marriage is to help each other get what we want. "

Every other thing you need to know is in the contract. My lawyer also briefed her about the marriage, all she had to do now is to sign.

I thought she was an intelligent girl. After all, she's a graduate. She should go through a contract before signing it. To my surprise she signed the contract without reading it.

She ticked all the criteria I want in a lady. I don't want a disobedient lady. She's in need so she will act right. I have lots of ladies interested in marrying me for twenty four hours. I did my investigation on her after we met before the media paparazzi. She ticked all the boxes.

"My lawyer will brief you on what you need to know before you leave. You will move into my house tomorrow. I will transfer the money for the surgery to you and money for upkeep. You need to dress like a billionaire wife even if we are married for twenty four hours." I said before leaving.

I haven't gone to visit my father and I have lots of work to do. I left the hotel with my driver to the office.

I used the private elevator that led to my office. My assistant was on his way out of the office when I walked in. "This is good. Is this how you entered my office behind my back'". I said teasing him.

"No sir, I just dropped a file from the auditing department,you should have the soft copy in your mail." He said smiling.

He listed my schedule for the day before leaving.

I was engrossed with work, the file he brought was about fraudulent transactions from the transactions history and the audit department has been working on it for months. My phone rang, it was my real lover, Victoria that called.

She called to rant about the business trips and asked about the contract Marriage.

I have known Victoria since high school but we don't talk. She was opportuned to be in the same school as me, thanks to a scholarship she won. She is not from a rich family. The scholarship will take care of her education from high school to college.

We ended up at the same college where we became friends then lovers. All this I hid from my father and friends. Nobody knew about our relationship till now.

I'm the one sponsoring his business trip as well as the funding for the cosmetic company, so it's right for her to call and rant.

"Oh, before you go there is something I want to ask you" she said in a romantic voice.

"What's that my love? You know I will do anything for you" I said.

"I need to know who wants to marry my man. Will you send me her picture? I have not been on the internet for a while, " She said.

"I will do that now" I sent the picture immediately after ending the call. I had done my background research on Martha before I gave her the contract. What could Victoria be thinking? "I mumbled to myself

"She is jealous, " I said to myself before going back to work.

My phone rang the second time, Victoria was the one calling.

Before I could talk, she started shouting at me. The one that got to me most was when she said "Why will you marry a beautiful lady like that? Do you want to leave me?"

"NO" I said. "You know at this stage, I shouldn't be with someone that's not beautiful" "For the short time we will be together, she will be known as my official wife" "I can't settle for less" I said.

I had to beg her and promise her I won't leave her. The call made me disorganized and I don't even know where to start again.

Why will she ask those questions? So many things ran through my mind. She is aware of the reason I want to marry, she knows I must do this.

My Phone rang the second time, taking me out of my thoughts journey. This time, it was from my grandfather

"Seems you're not interested in getting your inheritance again" He said and ended the call immediately.

Why won't I be interested in my inheritance again, my grandfather saying that means he has some games under his sleeves. I had to rush down there to see him. An inheritance worth billions of dollars shouldn't be given to just anybody. I'm his only heir, it's my right.

I quickly shut down my laptop ready to leave for the hospital when my assistant entered.

"Sir, your meeting starts in twenty minutes" He said handing over a file to me.

"Cancel the meeting, I have to be somewhere else" I replied him without waiting for his answer

I was about to open the door when I heard his voice. " The stakeholders threatened to request for their funds back if you don't join the meeting"

Hearing that made me angry. The stakeholders are a bunch of old people who are only after their money. The only reason they are still a stakeholder is because my grandfather is still alive. I would have bought all their shares if he's not alive.

"They threatened to request for their funds?Seems I didn't hear you right." I said holding the door knob.

"That's what they said sir" He replied with a shaky voice. He knows I hate being challenged, hence his shaky voice.

"Fine. I will give them their shares. I have been waiting for this day. "

"I need you to work with every department in charge, get their share percentage and the worth, email it to me before close of work. They will get their money tonight. They better be ready for me" I said, slamming the door.
