THERE'S NO TIME TO WASTE, Achilles had to make Aria aware of the world she's living in. He's sick and tired of waiting for her to fall in love with Elliot, in fact, he's sick of their relationship: it burns his soul to witness the two slowly develop feelings for each other. Although it sounds terribly wrong, Achilles didn't like the both of them together. He never did. He lied so he could leave Aria's world silently as she has her good ending.
Now that an anonymous character from the book knows that Achilles doesn't belong in this world, he was scared: he didn't mess with unknown characters of the book. It shattered his fragile soul, he has no idea who this anonymous character could possibly be.
But this anonymous character knows him.
