Revelation

Emily stared at the event unfolding before her, speechless. She didn't want to believe any of these was real. She closed the car door, walked forward towards the ship and started to examine it. She walked up to the sides and then around the ship. “Is this what I think it is?" She asked

“Yeah, it's a spaceship!" Thea replied coming out from the ship.

Startled by her presence, Emily stared at Thea, they were about the same height, looked 19, she had short blonde hair that was tied up to a bun. Emily moved backwards from the side of the ship. She crashed on what felt like a wall. She turned to look at what it was but couldn't see anything there. Knowing how confused she might be, Thea walked to where she was. Emily watched her tap on the invisible, inputing what seemed like codes. The whirring of the invisible ship, as it started to become visible, startled her more. She quickly walked back to where Drew and Tyrone were standing. She stood in between them and watched in astonishment as the second ship turned completely visible.

“Do you believe me now?" Drew asked

She turned to him “Believe you?! I don't even know what the hell is going on and why are you even telling and showing me this?" She said, raising her hands in confusion.

“We'll explain everything to you but can we please go inside?! My waist is killing me" Tyrone said, walking into the ship. The rest following suit.

They sat down inside the ship, door closed. Emily looked around in amazement, Impressed by the advance technologies within the ship.

“Look... everything we said earlier on our way here, was true." Drew spoke up first. He sighed before he continued ”We are from a planet called Arcturus..."

“So what are you doing here and what does any of these have to do with me?" She asked

“I was getting to that" Drew replied “My brother and I were sent here to retrieve what we call, the vessel." He explained

“What is a vessel?" She asked confused

“Our planet depends on energy to survive. Not your regular kind of energy like the sun but rather the kind that's gotten from living things" he explained

“You mean...like animals?" Emily asked, irritated by the thought. “Animals, plants, humans in earth's case, other planets have different species but mostly humans because they harbour the highest form of energy" Tyrone explained

“What!...Do you like, kill everyone? Drop a nuclear bomb or something" she asked, shocked by what she just heard

“Not exactly." Thea said. “That's where the vessel comes in. Every planet that there's life, has one, a vessel. It's like a hotspot and everyother life on the planet is connected to that hotspot. We call it the print, every life form on the planet is connected to that print which is in the vessel...so instead of harvesting every life source individually, we simply harvest the Print from the Vessel hereby harvesting every life form connected to it." Thea explained, hoping Emily understood what she just said.

Emily looked at the three of them one after the other, disturbed by what they just said. “So you guys are murderers?!" She said almost whispering

“No! We are not. This is the first we are to witness the harvest. The last harvest happened before we were born and after an harvest, it takes up to a century before we start to run low on energy" Drew replied

“Oh. You said “supposed to".... aren't you going to continue with it or you haven't seen the vessel yet?" She asked

“We have" Thea replied

“Who is it?" She asked. They stared at her in silence. She looked at them confused “Why are you looking at me like that?...who is..." It dawned on her “Oh...I see" she said opening her eyes wide. She stood up and started walking away from them slowly.

“No! We are not gonna hurt you. There's been a change of plan, actually our job is to protect you now" Drew said

“Why, why would you protect me?" She asked

“Because, we found out that the commander who sent us here and retrieve the..well, you..is trying to harvest the energy for himself and rule over our home Planet" Tyrone explained.

“So what? You don't want to harness the energy from us for your planet anymore?" Emily asked

“We don't know yet, all we know for now is to prevent Bartem from getting his hands on you" Said Thea

“Great! An alien I don't know wants to kill me!...if he's such a bad guy, why don't you guys...I don't know... arrest him or exile him? whatever you do In your planet." She said shrugging

“For one, he has an army. Two, he lives in an impenetrable fortress, our fortress and three, cause he would kick our asses" Tyrone replied folding his arms.

Thea walked to one of the computers mounted on the ship. She punched some keys and Bartem's picture came up. “That's him" Thea said pointing at the picture.

Emily walked up to the screen “He's pretty young for a commander with an army" She mocked

“He's 145 years old" Thea said looking at her

“Wait, what!" She exclaimed in disbelief. “Wait, how old are you guys?" She asked

“I'm 75, Drew is 77 and Miss computers here is 80" Tyrone replied

“What tha hell!" She said expressing her shock “So you are bunch of old guys and you are their elder sister" she said

“I'm not their sister, we are not related" Thea replied

“Oh...I just figured, you know, the blue eyes" she said

“Everyone from our home planet have blue eyes" Thea said

“Oh, okay" Emily said “So what's the plan?! hold me captive till you defeat whatever his name is and then harvest Earth for your planet by killing me? Save me only kill me later?" Emily asked

“Sit down first, please and we..." Drew was interrupted by the high frequency sound from the ultrasonic device. “Ahhhh!!!" The three of them shouted in pain simultaneously

“What is going on?" Emily asked confused, watching them crash to the floor.

“They are here!" Tyrone shouted

“How did they find us? Ahhh!" Drew screamed

“Who are they?" Thea shouted holding her head. She looked around the ship

“Some guys, they...are...using some...sort of device" Tyrone stammered.

“What should I do?" Emily asked confused, watching them shout in pain on the floor. Soon they started hearing loud banging on the door of the ship

Thea kept on looking around until her eyes fell upon a foam material hung on the left side of the ship “Emily! Grab that foam over there!" Thea shouted pointing at the foam. She crawled over to where a bottle water was placed and grabbed it. Her vision started to become blurry. Emily ran to her and handed her the foam. Thea took the foam, still lying on the floor. She opened the bottle and soaked the foam with the water. She glanced at Drew and Tyrone, both still shouting in pain. She cut out two pieces from the liquid foam and inserted it into her ears, completely stopping the effect of the device on her. She stood up and rushed to where the boys were laying, she did the same for them and they stood up also, regaining themselves. Still hearing the loud banging on the door, they wondered what they were using to hit the door. Thea sat in one of the pilot seats “Strap in!" She shouted switching the ship to manual mode. They rushed to the chairs and sat on it, she pressed a button and the seatbelts locked them in. She switched on the engine and set the ship in motion into the air “Activate stealth mode" she said to Tyrone who was sitting in the copilot seat. He pressed a button and the ship became invisible, making it literally undetectable in the air.

The men on suit kicked the leaves on the ground, expressing their disappointment over their failed attempt on capturing them. They turned their attention to the other ship that was on the ground. The one with the scar, took out his phone and dialed a number as they walked closer to the ship. “We lost them sir but they left one of their ships behind...it appears to be damaged" he said inspecting the ship. “Okay sir!" He ended the call.

“So who are they?" Thea asked, punching a button that kept the ship still over a point in the air, before turning to face Tyrone.

“I don't know. I first encountered them a few days after we got here, they seemed to know about our kind and then we encountered them at midnight after a party we attended. We passed out from the effect of the device and woke up in the trunk of their car but we managed to escape again. How do they keep finding us?" He asked

“Maybe they are tracking you" Thea said, reaching for her backpack. She brought out a device from the backpack that looked like a phone with antenna. “I brought this with me to check if they put a tracker on me without my knowledge. I didn't have to check over there" she explained “Stand up" she said to the both of them. They got up and she searched for a tracking device on their body. “There's none on the both of you" she stated.

“Then how?" Drew asked

“Maybe it was the car" Emily suggested.

“That makes sense, it's definitely the car" Thea confirmed

“Damn! I loved that car" Tyrone said feeling sad

“So I have some questions. let's start with your parents, Are they his prisoners ?" Emily asked. Sadness returned to their faces, as they remembered the news they had earlier received “What?"

“He killed them both" Drew said with a hint of sadness in his voice.

“Yeah, he couldn't take them prisoners, cause that would jeopardize his plans, seeing as they were the king and queen" Thea explained

“Wait! King and queen...that makes you guys princes" she said pointing at both of them. “Doesn't that make you the heir to the throne?" she asked Drew

“Yeah but a tyrant is already occupying it and it doesn't seem like he'll give it up easily" Drew replied

“Okay. So do you guys have abilities that makes you different from humans? I mean, aside from the blue eyes of course" She asked

“Well...we can jump higher than humans" Drew replied

“How high?" She asked

"About the height of a two story building" he replied.

"We are physically stronger than humans. And yeah, before you ask, we can punch a hole through a concrete wall and lift up to 400 pounds of weight." Tyrone said.

“We have more strength than human. Before you ask, we can punch a hole through a concrete wall and raise up to 400 pounds" Tyrone said

“Wow!" She said in awe

“We can read and process things faster and we have more advanced technologies, like you guys are decades, if not centuries behind. I mean we have levitating cars" Thea added

“At least we are going home with the fashion award" Emily replied staring at the clothes Thea was wearing “You are dressing like the characters from “the 100 movie" " Emily said

“So if you came here to take me for the harvest, why didn't you just do that the minute you came?" She asked

“We were waiting for your 18th birthday. That's when your prints will be fully developed. The prints will stop developing or should I say suspend development, if you are taken out of Earth. That's why we are sure Bartem can't take you out of Earth, which means we still have time" Thea explained

“Wow! You guys really know all about me huh?!" She said. “If you guys don't have any previous life here before, how did you apply for admission in our school?" She asked.

”That was easy, I read about hacking and how to create a fake identity and just followed the instructions" Drew replied feeling proud of himself

“Wow! Nice." Emily complimented. “Shoot! I have to get back home, my mom will be worried" she exclaimed looking at the time on her phone

“You want to return home?!.... didn't you just hear all we have said, Bartem is after you and will stop at nothing to get you. We need to protect you" Thea pointed out.

“So... what?! I'm just supposed to live my life in this ship?. My mom needs me and I have school. If you want to protect me, then you have to come up with a way to do it while I'm at home and also going to school" She explained

The three of them looked at each other in silence. “We are still admitted to the school, so I guess we'll keep an eye on you there" Drew said

“I'll go with to her house, to make sure she get's there safe" Thea said

“Okay then. We'll need to get you out of these clothes too" Emily said

“Alright but first, let me mask the location of the ship to avoid being tracked again and set an alert to inform us of any intruder from outside space." Thea said operating the computer in front of her. “And....done" she said

“That was Fast" Emily said surprised

“Alright let's find a good spot to set up camp and drop you guys" Tyrone said.

“Hey mom!" Emily greeted as they met Melissa in the kitchen

“Hey! Where have you been? Been trying your phone but wasn't going through

“Sorry I'm late. I was out with my friend and I lost track of time" she explained. “This is my friend..." She paused realizing she doesn't know her name

Noticing this, Thea quickly came through “Thea" she said waving at Emily's mom

“Hello dear, nice to meet you" Melissa said “What are you wearing, are you coming from a play or something?" Melissa asked noticing her outfit.

“Yeah, she was on a play. That's why I came late" Emily chipped in.

“Nice. You have pretty eyes by the way" Melissa said noticing her bright blue eyes.

“Thanks" Thea replied.

“Alright mom, we'll be in my room" Emily said, taking Thea by her hand and leading her to her room.

“Alright, let's get you out of those clothes" Emily said on getting to her room. She walked to her wardrobe and picked out some clothes. She inspected the black jeans and yellow sweater before handing them to Thea “This should fit you perfectly, since we are of the same size" she said.

“Thanks" Thea said.

“I'll give you time to change" Emily said walking out of the room.

They landed the ship close to the river and came out. The four soldiers looked around, admiring the sight before them. They put the ship in stealth mode. One of the soldiers brought out a high tech pda device, operated on the screen for a while “Found the location, let's go" he ordered

Tyrone stared at the beeping monitor, indicating the presence of one of their home ships on Earth “Well well. Let the show begin" He Said.
