Lolita and Hideo were left in the dining room when Zonia and Azrael also left the room. Silence filled their ears, and the only sound that they can hear was Lolita putting and treating Hideo’s wounds using the disinfectant that the doctor gave. Hideo felt it like an acid rippling his face, but his face remained stoic.
“Aren’t you feeling something? Like a burning sensation or tearing up of your skin?” Lolita asked. She was curious to know why Hideo seemed just fine with the disinfectant. She remembered when she’s still a child, she got an extended cut on her legs, and her mother put disinfectant on it. She screamed that time, and tears were flowing from his eyes.
