Chapter 58

CHAPTER 58 Sphyra was dying to see and visit Aragorn inside his room, but just before she stepped inside, she saw King Aragon. She knew she can fool anyone else but the king. If the servants can believe that she has rare eyes, the king cannot. She's the phoenix, and no one can prove that there's a person with the same looks as her. She took steps away from Aragorn's room. She can't visit and stare at him for now, letting his family and parents stay beside him. Before she leaves, she heard that Aragorn will wake up soon, and it wasn't serious. She smiled after assuring herself that Aragorn isn't suffering from something serious. She washed her thoughts away and walked to the dining room, where she saw the others treating their bruises. She's lucky Leo wasn't there, or else she'll get caught. She sat on the table without someone beside her, staring at the blankness of her mind. Dina noticed her. "She looks like she's the one who witnessed what happened earlier. She looks depressed." She glanced back at Veneer, applying ice on his bruises. Veneer can't help but smile instead of feeling the pain from the bruises he got earlier in the fight. "I wish I could've done more so Aragorn won't be in that state." "You've done a lot, Veneer. It wasn't your fault if Prince Aragorn was hit by a stone on his way. Those rebels were causing a rage on me; how could they attack us like that? From now on, they were the persons that I hated the most." "Sure that you hate them, huh? What if you saw a handsome rebel? Would you still hate them?" Dina got annoyed by what he said and pointed his bruise. "Ouch! Dina, don't do that!" "You should think of that you're saying. Even though that rebel is the most handsome person in the whole world, I will still hate him. If he doesn't believe or doesn't like the rules of the king or any palace ruler, they shouldn't harm other people and keep their opinions to themselves. People died because of their uncontrollable actions." "I'm just teasing you, Dina. Of course, I know that you won't fall for someone good-looking. Dina, what do you think of me? Rate my visuals." Dina stiffened since she's staring at Veneer's face. She can't reject his handsome and elegant face since he's a part of the royal family. "I don't know. Maybe I'll rate you like…." She roamed her eyes around and found Lolita on the other side of the room. "Lolita's meat stew." "Huh? What I meant is for you to rate me with numbers, and you rate me with food? Why did you do that, Dina? Do I look like a portion of food to you?" Dina giggled at his serious face. "No, not like that. Lolita's meat stew was really delicious, but people who don't prefer it will still not going to like it." "So, do you like me?" "I don't like meat stew." Disappointment covered his whole face. "Why don't you try it?" "I just don't," Dina said. "Your bruises were healed. You should rest inside your room and put ice on it." Veneer stood up. "Thank you, Dina. I hope that the next time I see you, you should be trying meat stew." "I hope so." Dina shrugged. She waved her hands at Veneer as the guy left the room. She turned to Sphyra to check her. "Are you okay?" Sphyra felt a lightning bolt that struck her face and brain. She almost forgot that there were other people in the dining room, and all she felt was that she's alone. She raised her head on Dina and smile. "I'm good. I'm good." "Really?" "You walked inside here as if you're a ghost and sat in that seat depressingly." "I did?" Dina nodded. "I'm so sorry. I didn't think about it earlier. This must be because of the thoughts bugging inside my head." "Come with me, Sphyra." "Where?" "To the garden. Let's water the plants and play with your dog so your thoughts would wash away." She nodded and stood up. She knew she might need to play with Burn again to regain herself after what happened to Aragorn. He'll be alright, she assured herself.
