Ethan was at his desk working when his assistant, Jacob, knocked and walked in.w
"Mr Lane?" Jacob called.
"What is it?"
"We have received Ross Group’s response."
Ethan looked up immediately. The tension that had been on his shoulders since morning eased. He had been waiting for this since Friday. The proposal was objectively strong; he had read it three times himself. There was no reason Ross Group would walk away from numbers like that.
"Finally." He said as he reached for the envelope Jacob extended toward him. Jacob gave it to him and then left the office.
Ethan turned the envelope over, broke the seal, and unfolded the letter inside with a smile.
