Dean x Reader Wrote this one early on but wasn't sure if I should post it...let me know what you think! You and Jo hunt a vamp preying on girls in a night club Adding a touch more eyeshadow to your lid you stand up straight to check out your reflection. You'd never been a big one for makeup or dressing up. Leggings, jeans, and t shirts were more your thing. Besides, who wanted to take forever every day painting their face? As you studied your reflection you nodded slightly, impressed with your work. Since you didn't use makeup much you usually came out looking like a five year old had colored your face. This time you had taken your time and tried to actually blend and dab everything in the right spot. Hearing the bathroom door open you looked towards it, Jo walked in and whistled. "Damn girl, we only wanna draw out the vamp, not make him beg on his knees." Rolling your eyes you began fidgeting with the bottom of your dress for the hundredth time. Internally groaning you tried to figure out why you agreed to wear such a short dress. It was cute you had to admit. It hugged your chest and waist but flared out slightly towards the bottom, which unfortunately only reached to mid thigh. Jo walked forward until she was standing beside you and looking in the mirror at your reflections, "you ready for your first club experience?" Sighing you nodded, in truth you just wanted tonight to be over with. "You sure you need me to go? It's just one vamp, maybe one of the guys should go instead." Jo shook her head and began leading you towards the door. "Nope, your going. One, because your a badass hunter. Two, cause even though we're on a case we're gonna have fun. And three," she smirked at this point. "I can't wait to see Deans face when he sees you." Stopping in your tracks your head shot up to look at Jo, you felt your cheeks redden and tried to act like you didn't care. "Why would Dean care how I look? It's just a little dressing up for a hunt, he's got better things to do than worry about what I'm wearing." In truth you also wanted to see Deans face when he saw you. He had always had a special place in your heart, although you'd never told him. Going into your room you grabbed your jacket off your bed, "Alright lets get this over with." Jo slid her own jacket on and motioned towards the door for you to go ahead of her. Walking down the hall of the bunker you began talking about the hunt and going over the plan again. According to your research this vampire had been sticking to one night club about two hours away from the bunker. He was going after girls and luring them away for the night only to drain and kill them. So far the count had reached five and you were both determined to stop him before that number got any higher. Walking into the main room you didn't realize Sam was standing in the corner putting away some books he had used earlier that day. "Wow, you guys look great." Stopping you looked over at the giant, smiling and crossing your arms over your chest. "Thanks Sam, did you figure out what's going on in that town outside of Denver?" Slipping the last book into place on the shelf he turned and walked towards you. "Yeah pretty sure its a Rugaru. I called Garth and let him know what I think he's dealing with. He actually seemed pretty excited." Shaking your head you thought about how much you loved the dorky hunter. "Sammy I think we're outta beer, you or Y/N wanna make a run to..." Dean walked into the room and caught sight of you. He froze in place and his eyes widened. As far as reactions go you were pretty happy with his. For once you began thinking maybe you really were pretty. Shaking his head as though he needed to clear certain thoughts Dean cleared his throat and tried to play it cool. "What's with the getup, got a hot date or something?" He leaned against the door frame and smirked. Jo laughed, "Why yes actually." Deans smile fell and he stood up straight, a confused look on his face. You grinned and began putting on your jacket. Pulling it on you tugged your hair from inside the collar and let it fall around your shoulders, Dean watching each move carefully. "Jo's right, we do have a date, with a vampire." You watched as something resembling jealousy and concern flashed across his eyes. Sam saw it too and smirked, he knew you and Dean both had feelings for each other but refused to let the other know. "Yeah Dean don't you remember, the girls are headed to a night club to dance the night away and gank a frisky vampire targeting women." Dean took a few steps forward, "Alone? I don't think that's a good idea I think Sam and I should come too." You turned and headed for the stairs, "It's fine Dean we can handle it. Now come on Jo lets get this over with so I can change into normal clothes." Waving bye to the boys you both head out the door. "I'd say that was a pretty big reaction on the Dean Winchester scale, wouldn't you Y/N?" Rolling your eyes and reaching for the door handle you tried to hide your blush. Getting into your car you began the long drive to the club. Dean stood staring at the door, a frown on his face. Sam chuckled and began walking towards the kitchen, "Don't worry Dean, the girls will be fine. And who knows, maybe Y/N will find a guy to have some fun with." Sam didn't even need to turn around to feel Deans glare at his back. Dean spent the next hour walking around, trying to find something to occupy his mind from thinking about you. Specifically about you finding another guy who would make you laugh, dance with you, and maybe even kiss you. Finally something snapped and he jumped up from the couch. "Sammy lets go!" Sam had been waiting for this moment and reached the door at the same time Dean did, jacket already on. "Does this mean your finally gonna tell Y/N your in love with her?" Dean shot him a look and ran up the stairs two at a time. Reaching the impala he jumped in and started the car. Gripping the wheel tightly he took off towards the highway, the only thought running through his mind was of you. It only took about two minutes for you to decide you really didn't like night clubs. You were definitely more of a bar girl. The blinking strobe lights, crappy music, and smell of BO and desperation were all just a few of the reasons you hoped to get this over with quickly. Jo led you to the bar, motioning towards the bartender she pointed towards the drink the girl beside her was sipping and held up two fingers. The bartender nodded and began mixing the drinks. Leaning forward to yell in Jos ear you motioned towards the bartender, "What did you order us?" She shrugged her shoulders and yelled back, "I don't know, I just figured we should blend in." You nodded in response. The bartender returned and handed you both a colored drink with tiny umbrellas. Taking yours you turned around and surveyed the room as you took a sip. Hmm, its not terrible. After a moment you motioned Jo to follow you and led her to a tall table in the back corner where it was slightly quieter. Setting down your drinks you got to business. "Okay Jo, according to a witness who saw the last victim here she mainly hung out with one guy, he was tall with light brown hair. And he also has a tattoo of a falcon on his neck." Jo nodded and continued to search the room. "Y/N he's only going after girls he finds attractive and interesting. We're gonna have to get out there and dance to draw his attention and hope he picks one of us. Whoever he picks up needs to just play along until you get outside. The other one will follow and when the time is right come in as back up, agreed?" You nodded your head, you weren't keen on the idea of dancing but you figured if it would get this over with you'd give it a shot. Aside from hunting you've never really been all that coordinated. A thought suddenly occurred to you. Frowning you leaned towards Jo, "I get we can mostly dance with each other, but what if a guy comes up and tries to dance with me?" Jo smirked, "Let him, guys always want what they can't have. I'm sure our guy is the same way. And remember Y/N, try and have a little fun tonight." With that she winked at you and finished her drink. Leaving the glass on the table she grabbed your hand and walked towards the dance floor. Over the years you had acquired a pretty broad taste in music, ranging from metal to Broadway. After reaching the dance floor some of your nerves went away when you recognized the song playing. It was always easier to pretend to know how to dance when you knew the song. Jo took both of your hands and began jumping and dancing around. Within a few moments you couldn't help but loosen up and laugh along with her. Five songs in you were slightly sweating and out of breath, "Jo I need to cool off!" Nodding that she heard you Jo turned to go back to the same table you occupied earlier. Stopping a waitress walking by you ordered two beers. A minute later you were taking a sip of the cool liquid when you felt someone's hand touch your waist. Putting down your bottle and turning to your left you were met with a man who looked as though he came out of a Calvin Klein catalog, skinny jeans and all. "Hey there baby, you looked pretty hot out there on the dance floor," the smile he sent you made your stomach knot. For a moment you didn't know what to say, but after you felt Jo slap the back of your arm you jumped and turned fully around to face him. "Um, thanks. I'm Y/N," you stuttered as you held your hand out to him. Taking your hand in his he leaned down and kissed your knuckles, "Gavin, would you like to dance?" Hoping to get some help from your supposed best friend you turned back towards Jo only to see her staring at the door, a surprised look on her face. Turning to look in same direction you couldn't see what had caught her attention at first. And then you saw them, the Winchesters. Looking back at Jo her eyes met yours as she shrugged, letting you know she didn't know either why they were here. While this was happening Gavin had apparently not appreciated your attention being drawn away from him and decided to use his free hand to turn your face back to him. "How about that dance baby?" You began to feel that knot again, "Um, well actually I um, my friend and I were kind of hoping to just have a girls night you know? I'm sorry..." As you said this you took a step back to free yourself from his grasp. Reaching out and grabbing Jos hand you shot him an apologetic smile as you led her back onto the dance floor. A new song came over the club and you both instantly started moving. Jo leaned forward so you could hear her, "Why didn't you dance with him?" Shooting her a look that said "really" you continued to sway your body to the music and try not to make eye contact with anyone else. So far your vamp had been a no show and you were almost ready to call it quits. Halfway through the song you took a step back and felt your body connect with someone else's, you could have sworn you felt a surge of electricity at the impact. Hands came up to grip your waist tightly and you turned around to find Dean smiling at you. Blushing instantly you sent him a smile back and leaned forward so he could hear you over the music, "What are you doing here?" The song had changed again to something slower and Dean automatically pulled you closer and began moving slowly. Bringing your hands up you set them on his shoulders, which you suddenly realized were very broad and made you blush even harder. Dean leaned forward until his mouth was just by your ear, his hot breath on your neck. "Just figured me and Sammy would lend a hand with your case. Never hurts to have back up." You frowned slightly, that wasn't what you were hoping to hear. Putting on a fake smile you nodded, "Oh okay, well um if you want to help then you and Sam should probably just hang back and watch the room. The guy we're looking for has a falcon tattoo on his neck. We were hoping he'd pick one of us up." Feeling Deans fingers tighten slightly at your statement you looked at him surprised. Dean once again leaned forward, if he kept breathing on your neck like that you were definitely gonna pass out. "Are you sure that's the best plan? I mean we could just wait outside until he picks another girl." Stepping back you tilted your head to the side like Cas does when he's confused. "Why risk an innocent person when me or Jo can go instead? It just makes more sense." At this you turned and began walking back towards the table where Jo and Sam stood. Smiling at Sam you took another drink of your beer, "Jo have you seen any sign of him?" She shook her head as she scanned the room, "Not yet, but I've got a feeling he will turn up soon. I think we should keep hanging out." She turned towards the brothers, "You guys should steer clear of us, we need him to think we're just two girls here alone. As soon as someone is taken the rest of us will move, understood?" Sam nodded while Dean just stood to the side staring at you. When you looked at him he nodded his head once, "Fine, but we'll be watching. No heroics tonight girls. There's plenty of us here to make this quick and easy." The guys left to go hangout at the bar while you and Jo continued to play up the girls night out act. A few beers later you suddenly got a feeling to check the door. There he was, falcon tattoo and everything. Hitting Jos arm you tilted your head towards the door, watching as her eyes lit up in recognition. Sharing a look you both headed back out onto the floor. Now was the time to really play the part so no other girl was chosen as his victim. After dancing for two songs you noticed the same man from earlier walk up to your right, "Well now, still having a fun girls night? Or do you wanna spend some time with a man?" at this he smirked and wrapped an arm around your waist effectively pulling you closer. Putting both hands against his chest you shook your head and tried to step back, but his grip tightened. Out of the corner of your eye you could see Dean stand up from the bar and stare at Gavin. Looking around for Jo you realized she was dancing with the vampire. Now was the time you were supposed to leave to go grab the machetes and wait outside. Pushing against Gavin's chest you managed to put some space between the two of you, "Sorry, I think I'm just gonna run to the bathroom." With that you turned and made your way quickly across the club and towards the door. Stepping outside you took in a few deep breaths to calm yourself, damn that guy doesn't let up. Walking towards your car you reached down to unlock the trunk when something hit the back of your head. Falling to your knees your hand went up to check for blood, as your eyesight cleared you looked up to see Gavin standing there. The look on his face was a mixture of anger and pleasure, a bad combination. Leaning down to roughly grab you by the shoulders he smirked as he pulled you up to stand. Pushing you back against your car he held your body there with his. "Well now, I do believe you missed the turn for the ladies room. Correct me if I'm wrong but, it seems like your just not that interested in being around me tonight. I have to say Y/N, that hurts my feelings. And here I thought we had such a connection inside." With the final word he backhanded you so hard you were sure you saw stars. That was definitely going to leave a bruise. Now you were pissed, who the hell was this assbutt who thought it was okay to harass a woman? Standing up straight and staring him in the eye you leaned forward, "Look here dickwad, you've got five seconds to kindly f**k off before I kick your ass to kingdom come." For a moment Gavin actually looked surprised, "Wow, I gotta say baby your a lot more feisty than my usual girls. I like your fire," he leaned forward and pressed his body harder against yours. Suddenly you felt his fist go to the back of your head and pull your hair so that you were forced to look up him. An evil grin came across his face and instantly you knew something was wrong, "I don't think I'll kill you. I think I'll keep you instead." Before you could comprehend what he said you felt a sharp pain in your neck and began to grow colder. A minute later you were too weak to stand on your own. Gavin held your body up and brushed a strand of hair from your face. "Sorry baby, needed to make sure you wouldn't fight back for this next juicy bit." With that you saw him bite into his wrist, blood began pouring out and he raised his hand towards your mouth. "Open wide baby." Before he reached your mouth you felt the arms holding you up jerk and watched as Gavin's head fell to the ground. Since he had been the one supporting your body weight you began falling along with him when strong arms caught you. "Y/N, sweetheart look at me." The voice was familiar but you couldn't seem to place it. You tried to raise your arms but it felt like they were tied down with anchors. The last thing you saw was two figures running towards you before everything went dark. When you came to you felt weak, turning your head you realized you were sitting in someone's lap in the back of the impala. Your head had been resting on a warm chest and two arms were wrapped tightly around you. Leaning back slightly you looked up through hazy eyes and noticed it was Dean. He felt you move and looked down, smiling. "Morning sleeping beauty," he said. Frowning slightly you looked to see who Dean had let drive his precious car. Sam looked in the rearview mirror and smiled at you, "Hey Y/N, how you feeling?" "I'm okay, just tired. Where's Jo?" Dean looked back down at you, "She went back to Ellen's, told her we'd take you home." You nodded that you understood, looking up at Dean you gave him a confused look. "So Gavin was the vampire?" Deciding to get more comfortable Dean turned so his back was against the door and pulled you closer into his chest as he laid down slightly. "Yeah, although to be honest I didn't know that at first. I just saw him hit on you and leave after you walked off. Then Jo came up to us saying there was no way the tattoo guy was a vamp since he was telling her about dropping out of medical school cause blood freaks him out." You nodded at this and without thinking about it buried your self tighter against Dean, the action making him smile. Tightening his grip on you he continued, "I went outside to get you so we could leave and that's when I saw him hit you and pull your head back to bite you. I ran as fast as I could to get to you before he turned you, I'm sorry I couldn't get there faster." Leaning back to look at him you smiled, "It's okay Dean, you stopped him and that's all that matters. You saved me from becoming a monster," Deans eyes lit up and he smiled as he looked into your eyes, reaching up he cupped the side of your face and pulled your head forward. As his lips met yours you again felt that spark of electricity from earlier. The kiss was sweet and filled with love. Pulling back you smiled at Dean and pressed a quick kiss to the bottom of his jaw. Snuggling tighter you wrapped your arm around him and laid your head on his chest, ready to go back to sleep. Deans hand was wrapped around your waist and his other began stroking your arm that was across his stomach. Smiling he closed his eyes, "I'll always save you sweetheart." In the front seat Sam just smiled wide and looked out at the road ahead, grateful that you both had finally decided to be happy together.
