Only A Matter of Time

Dean x Reader Reader finds Dean in a compromising position, leading her to believe he doesn't really care about her. Pulling up to the motel you put baby in park and turned off the engine. Reaching into the back you began grabbing the take out bags and beer. Sam and Dean opted to stay in the room and begin researching for your Djinn case while you went to grab food. A smile broke out over your face thinking of the older Winchester. You'd been hunting with the brothers for almost two years, over that time you'd noticed yourself and Dean growing closer. Countless movie nights cuddled up together, his hand on your waist whenever you were close, even the fights when you got hurt on a hunt. Something was there between you too, an unspoken relationship. You noticed over the past year Dean had stopped hooking up with women too, always opting to leave the bars when you were ready. After an almost fatal ghoul hunt a few weeks ago Dean had become panicked when you were thrown against a brick wall. After you were patched up you were shocked when he kissed you. Afterward you both smiled and continued on with packing everything to go home. Nothing had been said since, although you felt ready to confront him about it. You knew you wanted a full on relationship, and you felt pretty sure he did too. As you stopped outside the door to unlock it you heard muffled noises coming from inside. Stopping for a moment you leaned closer, trying to figure out the sound. Eyes growing wide you couldn't believe it when you heard a woman moan Deans name. Slowly unlocking the door you stood there in shock as the door swung open. Dropping everything in your arms both Dean and the woman stopped to stare at the door. You felt tears brim in your eyes at seeing him lying in bed, the woman straddling his naked waist. "Sorry doll this rooms occupied." The woman snickered as she ran her hands over Deans chest. Your eyes never left his, the look of uninterest at seeing you there only added to your confusion. Sitting up and wrapping his arms around the woman's waist Dean simply sighed, "Don't look so surprised Y/N, it was only a matter of time before I found someone better than you. Mind leaving the beer? Gonna be pretty thirsty in a while." The smirk he gave you finally broke you of the trance you seemed stuck in. "Dean, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!" Tears fell freely now, there being no possible way to stop them with the surge of emotions you felt. Dean shrugged and began kissing the woman's neck and chest, in response she began moving again, ignoring your presence. Turning and slamming the door behind you there seemed no other option but to walk away. Walking quickly to get away from the moans coming from that room you couldn't help but stop once you made it across the street to a small park. Stopping you bent over and began breathing deep, trying to focus on drawing in oxygen you never noticed your name being called. "Y/N!" A large hand fell on your back, making you jump. Spinning around you saw Sam standing there, confusion covering his face. "What's wrong?" Fresh tears fell as you took two steps forward and buried your face in his broad chest. Arms came around to hold you tightly as you cried, a few moments later you felt drained and sniffed, "De-Dean is screwing some random w***e in our room." Looking up the complete disbelief and shock written on his face almost made you begin crying again. "Y/N there's no way, Dean he, he's been in love with you since forever. He wouldn't do that to you," Taking a step back and placing both hands on your shoulders be bent slightly forward to look into your eyes, "Think about it, do you honestly think Dean could do that?" Thinking back to everything you and Dean had been through together doubt began creeping in. Frowning and using your hand you began wiping the stray tears from your face. Looking back at your best friend you began shaking your head, "No Sam, I don't. Something's wrong, what if he's under a spell?" Thinking back to what you saw you tried to think if anything stood out. Sam's eyes narrowed, "Only one way to find out." Turning to face the motel he gave you a look of reassurance before walking across the road. Following behind you drew your pistol, ready to face whatever was going on. Inside you were a mess, a huge part of you knew something had to be wrong. But there was also that tiny part that believed what you saw was real, that Dean wanted it. Stopping outside the door you gave Sam a quick nod, signaling you were ready. Opening the door and holding up your guns you both walked inside. Using your foot you closed the door behind you, drawing the attention of the woman now lying in the bed alone. Seeing you and Sam holding weapons she immediately jumped up and began freaking out. "Don't shoot! Oh My God I'm sorry honey if he's your man I didn't know! I'm leaving I swear!" Grabbing her clothes she gave you a pleading look. Frowning you tilted the gun towards the door, "Just get the hell out of here." Nodding quickly she ran out, never looking back. The bathroom door opened a moment later, a smug looking Dean walking out wearing sweat pants but no shirt. "Hey what happened to what's her name? We were having a good time!" Sam grit his teeth, "Y/N, his chest." Looking down your eyes widened seeing the cut made across his antipossesion tattoo. Breathing a sigh of relief you held tighter to your gun, "Get out of him! NOW!" Taking a few steps forward Dean simply smiled and held his arms out, "Why would I do that? It's quite nice in here, by the way Dean says Hi. Darling you should have heard the fuss he made seeing your face a while ago. NO! Y/N it's not me! Baby please!" Laughing and wiping at a pretend tear he smiled wide at you, "It was great, truly a highlight of this joy ride." Taking a step forward you suddenly felt a force push you across the room and against a wall, effectively causing you to drop the gun. Looking up you grew sick seeing Deans eye flash black, memories of when he had the mark grew in your mind. Seeing the discomfort on your face the demon grinned evilly. "Bring back any painful memories there Y/N? Oh you should hear your boyfriend now, its all threats and swearing." Sam took advantage of his attention being focused on you and began inching towards the duffle bag lying on the table, an angel blade just inside it. Just as he made a move to grab it the demon raised his hand, freezing Sam in his spot. "Nope, sorry Sammy, fun ain't over yet. I've got big plans for you two," walking towards you he lifted one hand to run across your cheek. Smiling wide and looking down at your body his eyes came back up to meet yours, "Especially you darling, oh man the things I'm gonna do to you. But don't worry, your gonna lo..." His words were cut off as a flash of pain ran across his face, doubling over you noticed his eyes fade from black back to Deans beautiful green. Standing there taking deep breaths he looked up at you, panic in his eyes. "I've got him, not for long but I've got him." The force holding both you and Sam disappeared, not wasting any time you both began chanting the exorcism. Just as you reached the end the demon took control once again. Roaring in anger he threw his hand out, backhanding you and causing your whole body to turn and crash into the wall. Sam continued as quickly as he could, just as the demon turned towards him black smoke came pouring out of Deans mouth. As soon as everything was gone Dean stood there, coughing roughly. Standing up straight his eyes immediately went to you, huddled against the floor. Feeling strong arms wrap around your shoulders and help you up your eyes met Deans bright green ones as he pulled you tightly to his chest. Holding on just as tight to him you smiled at Sam over his shoulder. Leaning back slightly Dean never released his hold on you, turning to his brother he gave Sam a nod, "Thanks Sammy." Setting his gun on the table Sam nodded, "I'm gonna go and, um, yeah." Making his way outside you heard the gentle click of the door just as Dean tilted your face up to meet his. Looking at your cheek and gently running his thumb over the growing red mark he shook his head. "Y/N, I'm so sorry sweetheart. He got the jump on me outside at the vending machines. As for the woman I never, I wouldn't have ever..." Stopping him by setting your finger on his lips you gave him a small smile, "I know Dean, it hurt at first seeing you like that. But Sam made me stop and think, and I realized you would never hurt me like that. I'm not sure what this thing is between us but I do know I care about you, a hell of a lot. And I want you to know I trust you completely, I want to be with you Dean. No more dancing around one another, I want the whole deal, but only if you want it too." The smile spreading across his face was definitely one of the biggest you'd ever seen. It reached his eyes and even the green seemed to shine brighter. Holding your face in his hands he leaned down to gently place his lips against yours. Pulling back a few moments later you both couldn't help the smiles you wore, looking up into Deans eyes your heart skipped a beat when he said, "I'm all yours sweetheart."
