Dean x Reader
Pure fluff :)
"Carry on my wayward son, there'll be peace when you are done. Lay your weary head to rest, don't you cry no more."
Singing softly your hand lazily traced patterns over your already bulging stomach. As you sang you thought about the future of your family and how loved this kid was already. His uncle was already going crazy trying to make sure you had everything you needed for when the baby arrived, even though you had two months left before your due date.
"Once I rose above the noise and confusion, just to get a glimpse beyond this illusion. I was soaring ever higher, but I flew too high."
Feeling a small kick you smiled softly. If his uncle was bad then his father was definitely worse. One night you woke up to an empty bed only to find him sitting in the kitchen making a list of ways to "babyproof" the bunker. He was slightly panicked to realize just how dangerous your home was. The men of letters definitely did not build this place for children. You had eventually calmed him down enough to go back to bed with you. After awhile of him holding you and running a hand over your stomach you'd drifted back to sleep, feeling loved.
"Masquerading as a man with a reason, my charade is the event of the season. And if I claim to be a wise man, it surely means I don't know."
Walking over to the table you picked up your paint brush and continued working on your masterpiece. You knew from the beginning you wanted to make your child's room special. You'd never be an amazing artist but you definitely had enough skill to create beautiful designs all over the walls. Singing softly to yourself and concentrating you didn't notice the figure standing in the doorway, leaning against the wall with his arms crossed.
"Carry on my wayward son, there'll be peace when you are done. Lay your weary head to rest, don't you cry no more."
Stepping back to admire your work you set down your brush and put both hands on your stomach. "Look at that honey, it doesn't look half bad. I can't wait for you to see it." Two strong arms wound themselves around your waist and two hands rested over yours, "He's gonna love it, and he's gonna love you Y/N. I know I sure as hell do." Dean pressed a kiss to your temple and then behind your ear.
"He's gonna love his dad too," you grinned and leaned back into his warm chest. Looking around the room you both just stood there, dreaming of the life you would have with your child. Yes it was going to be dangerous, very few hunters actually had families. But you were both determined to make this work, you were going to be a family, and nothing ever kept the Winchesters from getting what they wanted.
A/N: Song version used was from the incredible 200th episode, those girls rocked it!
