Chapter 4: Unexpected Tiring Day

"Wrong timing! Why is it always like this? Damn! Cursed this earth!" Abraham is complaining while looking running like Flash towards the location of the one he's going to save.
And it always hit him hard. Helping people is already a part of his life. He just couldn't ignore or refuse his call to save even the tiniest creature he heard who needed his help. He doesn't understand, but someday he'll find the answers to what he was longing for to know.
"My goodness! What are you doing here?" Abraham found the cat he's going to save. It's funny that his ear listened attentively to animals call for help as well. "Here, come with me."
He was floating from twelve floor of the building to save the cat almost falling from the open window of the apartment. "Next time, do not follow the light, okay? You're safe now. Go back to your owner, and I'll close the door of this window. Bye cutie kitty cat!"
Abraham closes the door as he looks towards the cat inside, walking towards the open door. He's about to leave the area when he heard a lot of voices were ringing in his ears.
"Who is he?"
"Wow! Is he the new superhero?"
"He looks like Superman, but the big letter written on his blue cape is not letter S."
"Yeah. I think, it's letter F?"
"He saved a small cat from falling from the twelve floor of the building. He's worthy to be called a superhero."
"But why F? I am curious to know who is that new neighborhood of ours?"
He thought of leaving the premises, but the words he heard from the mortals ring a bell on him. How could he overlook the other good side of those humans? Such an interesting fact. He wondered if human hearts were also true? If not, he'll pass for now. He'll think it over. After several minutes floating, he disappeared and flew back to where Isaac and Joseph were waiting for him.
AFTER BUYING from a nearby Cafeteria, Joseph and Isaac were about to cross the road towards the location of the gazebo, in Haro Plaza when both of them saw a snatcher swiftly run towards their direction. The old lady behind him were shouting for help.
"Snatcher! Help! Please help me return my bag!"
Isaac and Joseph stared at each other than a brilliant idea came into their mind. The snatcher is about to bump into them, but they stood still for a moment then when he finally reached their spot, Isaac and Joseph swing back and let their right and left foot remained on the spot, blocking the snatcher's way. Isaac grabs the bag he was holding while Joseph tried to protect Isaac from the snatcher who immediately stood up flexing his small knife in front of him.
"Be careful, Joseph! You'll get hurt from his stab," Isaac is shouting from the back when Abraham appeared in front of him without Joseph noticing him. He watches him on what he's going to do from the snatcher's move.
"You foolish kid!"
The snatcher's hand move swiftly towards Joseph and when the small knife he's holding is about to stab him, Joseph closes his eyes and stop the time. Abraham pretended that he doesn't know what Joseph did. He wasn't blinking or winking either. Joseph opened his eyes and saw the snatcher with big mouth almost reach his face to stab him.
He was surprised seeing what he did. The time stops and everything on his surrounding pauses suddenly. Without second thought, he grab the knife, and put its hands on the back, remove and uses his belt to tie his hands. The knife he got was thrown on the garbage nearby and returned to his position then gently closes his eyes. In a split seconds, he opened his eyes and the snatcher bump his head on him.
"Ouch! How did I end up hitting my head to yours?" he was complaining right after bumping his head to Joseph while the latter ignored the pain on his forehead.
"You foolish, ungrateful, bad snatcher! Did your parents ever tell you that it's bad to steal someone's belonging? I'll make sure you'll get what you deserve in jail!"
The old woman was hitting him with his bag she got from Isaac when two cops arrived on the scene and captured the thief.
"Ma'am, let me handle him. Follow me also to the police station as witness on this thief," one of the cops grab the thief while talking to the old lady.
"I will do that. Let me thank these kids first," she answered then turned her gaze towards Isaac and Joseph while getting something out from her bag. "Here, accept this as a sign of gratitude from helping me capture this lazy thief who stole my bag."
"But…" Joseph hesitated, but the old woman smiled at her and kissed them both on the forehead.
"I don't accept a no for an answer. Thank you, again kids," she turnaround and began hitting again the snatcher while the cops stops her from making another scene.
"Why don't we go back to the gazebo and discuss what happened while I'm away?"
Abraham breaks the silence between the two. Although, he knew entirely what happened, he preferred to hear the story from them, especially Joseph.
"Yeah. Great. I mean, let's do that. Let's go to Haro Plaza," Joseph returned to his normal self like nothing happened.
"I'm hungry. Let's go?" Isaac quickly turned back towards the pedestrian lane and started hopping, running towards the other side. Abraham followed then Joseph.
Unknown to Abraham and Joseph, Isaac saw everything. From the moment the knife almost hit Joseph's face to stopping the time, grabbing the knife and thrown into the garbage, up to the time Joseph removed the belt and used it to tie the hands of the thief, Isaac saw it all. And at the back of his mind, a bigger question suddenly made him curious.
"I have powers? I thought only Abraham and Joseph have abilities. Why did I see that? How did it happen? Why can't I know it all?"
Isaac shook his head while thinking about those questions he was not prepared to hear the answers.
"Are you both okay?" Abraham put his hands on their shoulders while walking towards the gazebo, in Haro Plaza.
"We're fine," they said in chorus, making all of them burst into laughter. After all, it was a tiring day, an unexpected ordinary day for the three of them, and all of them were hungry to eat together again in gazebo.
