4 Never stop holding my hand. Stomping all the way to my car, I daydreamed about all the ways I'd fire Max. I grabbed my glasses from the top of my head and inspected them. The right ear piece appeared warped and singed, but still wearable. Grabbing the handle on my car, it didn't budge. I reached for my pocket, then realized I'd probably incinerated my keys during my earlier flash fry. Bracing both of my hands on the roof of my car, I took a moment to breathe deep.
