"The king of Mozo accuses me of taking hostage his wife. I have a wife and ten concubines. I don't need more women and certainly I don't need the wife of a friend" The king of Getu then stood and continued and this time there was finality in his voice. "I will not wait to be crushed like a fly. I will not wait for the king of Mozo to ride into my kingdom and without mercy take my head. We will have to prepare very well and go on to meet with them on the battlefield. Go and get all the soldiers of Getu land ready for attack and let no man or woman sleep for a lion is coming (referring to Ube) and those who choose to sleep will be devoured. Let every man and every woman train with swords and let the gods decide our fate" After the king had finished speaking his wife walked in just as the generals stepped out.
"You plan to attack?" she asked as she stood before him..
"Yes, that is the best form of defence, to attack" he said and sat back on his throne.
"What about Ube?" she asked.
"He is a human!" the king sounded with frustration.
"He is a god" corrected his wife.
"He is not a god. The only human god that first existed was hundreds of years back" said the king.
"And what if he returned" she asked again.
"Woman enough, I will not have you put fear in me. You and our two children must ride out of Getu with the men I will give you and you must do this with the soldiers I will give you. They will take you safely out of Getu and out of the reach of the king of Mozo or his warlord, Ube" the king spoke and the wife remained standing. He stood up and went closer to her, holding her both cheeks with his two cold hands. "Did you hear me?" he asked.
The wife shook her head as tests filled her eyes. "I would never have believed if someone had told me that a time shall come when friends like you and the king of Mozo will become enemies, so very bad that he would wage war against you without inviting you for a dialogue first. This shows he never loved you. What he accuse you of I know you are not guilty of"
