Arya raised her head and clenched her teeth, she was so angry that she could not believe what Sophia was saying.
She could not utter a single word. Her whole body was trembling with furry. She could not understand why Sophia would ruin her life like that.
Sophia smiled walking towards her, "So what if you are angry, what can you do? I mean...." She played with her hair and sneered. "Your fiance... no, I meant ex-fiance does not believe you and your father does not believe you either. Do you know what you should? You should go abroad and live on your own."
Arya was furious. "Why are you doing this to me... why are you ruining my life? why?!" She rushed foward with unnoticed speed and wrapped her hands around Sophia's neck.
Sophia did not resist, she blinked pitifully at her.
"Aww... Sister, don't hurt me. Last night was not really my fault." After saying that with low voice, she smiled at Arya arrogantly and raised her voice, "What are you doing??"
Hearing the commotion, Nicholas rushed out of the bedroom looking so angry that the veins of his neck were visible.
He raised his hands and pushed Arya to the ground.
"Are you out of your mind, are you trying to kill your sister?"
Unable to bare the pain any longer she was on the verge of shedding tears. At that moment, she thought of her mother and her childhood but no matter how hard she wished, she could never return to that time.
Her stepmother, Miranda came from the kitchen and when she saw the marks on her daughter's neck , she became furious just like her husband. She raised her hand and slapped Arya on the cheeks, other after the other.
"Bitch..! uneducated brat, just like your dead mother. You might as well die!!" Miranda continued to attack and cursing her, Nicholas was standing there watching. He did not show pity reaction towards Arya, his only concern was on Sophia's injuries.
As the attack went on, Arya's vision got blurry from the blows but all she could feel was the coldness in her heart, as if all the warmth has left it.
At that time in his office, Heather Corp group, Austin was looking at his assistant Donald with a malicious expression. His glare was sharp as if cold arrows were shooting out of those eyes. He was surrounded by an aura of ruthlessness, it was evident that he was in a heavy deadly mood.
"What is going on?" His voice was gloomy that his gaze could bore wholes to a person.
"How far are you with the investigation?" With a pained expression, his assistant could not answer him immediately. His assistant was sweating from his gaze, he swallowed his saliva before he could open his mouth .
"Its..it's James Parker from Parker group". he stuttered.
Austin knew James Parker. A while ago, he had co-operation with Parker group on the project worth millions and Parker group had taken kick backs from it.
Austin did not like the way James Parker handled things and he decided to terminate the contract he had with Parker group and stop the upcoming contracts with them.
The Parker group got in huge debts and it ended up being declared bankruptcy, in other words, Parker group got destroyed by Austin.
"James Parker bribed the hotel's waitor and drugged you, he probably wanted to use this to..." His assistant's voice trailed off until he was no longer breathing.
The matter was now clear. James Parker was the master mind behind all of this .
Austin had never thought that something like this could happen or even let it happen to him.
"I have checked, he did book the room last night." His assistant looked up hesitantly and looked down again, "but you never showed up".
Austin's facial expression suddenly changed and asked in a low voice, "What do you mean?"
Donald was confused, he could only look at him nervously and repeated hesitantly, "You did not use the room yesterday, sir...."
'If he did not go to the room yesterday then who's room did he ended up sleeping in, and who was the woman who had been lying on his bed?'
At that moment, his mind was filled with the images from last night. He could remember the cries of a woman whom he was riding beneath him. Those broken images of flushed cheeks, grief and heartbreaking pain were very clear. He suddenly remembered the red spots on the white sheets that he noticed before he left.
'Was she a virgin?' He asked himself.
He took a big sigh looking tired, he closed his eyes and rubbed his temples. He felt helpless.
Austin felt a tightening in his chest when he recall that woman's red face, and her tears flooded like a broken string of pearls. It was like a floodgates had been opened.
"Go and investigate the woman who was in the room that I was in, immediately!"
Donald hurried off to do what his boss asked him to do. But no matter how fast he moved, he would not be able to find anything about the woman.
The hotel's surveillance camera were already wiped off by scheming Sophia, Arya's stepsister. How could she possibly leave the evidence of the set up. She had to recover all her tracks so that she can continue to pretend to be innocent and could gloat when Arya got kicked out of the house in a pity state.
Arya did not stay even a night, before she was packed off and sent to the other country by her father.
.....................
Four years later..
Arya stood in the first class lounge with three tickets in her hands unable to gather her thoughts.
She had been in United States for four years time. She had not made even one phone call to her family. Her father treated her like she was dead. And if it was not of Sophia and Michael Thompson's engagement party, he might not remembered that she existed.
Her heart had no attachment, she had been separated from it for years. At first she did not want to go back but she could not stand to listen her father threatening to sell all her dead mother's belongings.
All those things her mother left for her were very precious and it did not matter to her that they were not luxurious.
Her mother was the closest person she had when she was still alive. She had wanted to bring all her mother's belongings to the United States and not ever contact her father ever again. If it was not of her mother's belongings, she'd probably would not go back for the rest of her life. But she could not lose them to her father's anger.
She suddenly heard soft voices of three years old kids besides her both tucking the corners of her blouse.
"Mommy! Are we going to see grandpa?"
Only then did she come back to her senses. The anger in her eyes dispated and smiled. She bent down to their height and kissed them on the foreheads, and said "Yes, you will meet your grandfather."
At the same time on the other side of first class lounge, a tall man in black tailored suit with a man besides him strode towards the gate with a cold expression.
Arya had bought first class tickets. In the last few years, she had suffered a lot in a foreign country. She had developed many issues, she had bad insomnia, sereve headaches and she was afraid of loud noises.
Her body rejects everything to do with intimate postures with others or opposite gender.
She bit her lower lip and took the kids with both hands and walked to the gate.
The moment she got to the plane, she closed her eyes trying to take a nap. But first she told the kids to be good and take care of each other, they should not run around.
The girl was named Simone and the boy was Jaden, they were most precious to their mother and they were well behaved. Jaden was more intelligent than his sister Simone. He could hack into any system, he was good in calculations and he even once looked for their father on the internet and found him.
His sister Simone was good in literature and could speak four languages, Español, French, Korean and English. They both had millions in their accounts from trading stocks, but all of that was unknown to their mother.
They sat down on their seats as they were told and Simone played with her Barbie doll while Jaden was listening to the hackers documentary on his tablet, occasionally stealing glances at his mother. He knew all their mother's suffering and he made a promise to himself that he will make his father pay for abandoning his mother and sister.
These two women were important to him.
Ayra put her head against the window and Jaden soon noticed that his mother was not looking okay. Seeing that she was frowning from time to time, he asked worldly, "Are you not feeling well?"
With a hint of weakness in her voice, she answered "I'm okay, baby".
She then forced a smile and turned her head to look at the other side.
