"Oh, it's the house of that jerk!" Emilia cursed as she rose up from bed.
Recalling the events of yesterday reminded her that she was in the territory of the man she hated the most, and was now married to him. Just the mere thought of that made her cringe in disgust.
At least, she was grateful he didn't come back last night as promised. To avoid the same mistake, she dashes into the bathroom, she comes out few minutes later to see Michelle standing by the door, obviously waiting for her.
"Why are you here?" Emilia questioned, and Michelle bowed.
"It seems the lord didn't tell you. He assigned me to be your personal maid. I'll be helping you in whatever way you need my help" Michelle replied.
Emilia simply pouted in realization and walked up to her closet, she opened it and was astonished at the sight. The closet was fully stocked with different designer dresses, casual outfits, and undies. Surprisingly, they were all her size.
"We moved them in while you were asleep last night" Michelle revealed.
"You did what?" Emilia spat as it dawned on her that she had let down her guard.
Michelle attempts to repeat what she has said, but Emilia brushed her off. After much thoughts, Emilia finally settled for a pair of blue jeans and a white T-shirts, a pair of white sneakers, and a blue face cap.
Michelle noticed she planned on leaving and stood by the door.
"What are you doing?" Emilia asked.
"I'm sorry, but my Lord said you mustn't leave your room until he says so" Michelle replied, and Emilia scoffed, she tried not to vent her anger on the poor maid.
"And why is that?" She asked.
Michelle was a bit hesitant but still revealed the truth. "I'm not in the position to tell you this, but I feel you should know about it...."
*A busybody, huh?* Emilia snorted inwardly as she waited for Michelle to complete the story.
"Lord Russo's ex-fiancee is back" Michelle declared, and Emilia was thrown into confusion.
"Huh... Who's that?" She asked with keen interest.
"Well, her name is Rosa. She was our Lord's fiancee before she did something stupid that got him annoyed. People knew she wasn't mentally sound" Michelle explained with a hush voice.
Emilia was annoyed with the suspense and scowled. "Spill it out, Michelle."
"Well, she was crazy enough to wear a pink dress to accompany the lord to a party; black was actually the dress code" Michelle said, and tried not to laugh.
Emilia was dumbfounded by the reply as a resounding laughter erupted from her belly, she clutched her stomach tightly and bent over, she laughed hard till her stomach hurt and wiped the tears out of her eyes.
"She wore pink to an all black party? What is she? Barbie?" Emilia exclaimed.
"Yes, that was how people reacted when they saw her. So, after the party, Lord Russo locked her up in a mental asylum" Michelle further revealed.
"He did what?!" Emilia spat, and her eyes widened in shock.
"Yes. Nobody argued about it since we all knew she wasn't okay. Well, not like we could argue with him and live to see the light of another day" Michelle shrugged.
"Hmph... He should have been locked up with her. He's clearly crazier" Emilia snapped.
Michelle laughed nervously and scratched her hair. "You shouldn't let him hear that, and please, act like you know nothing about it."
"Oh, I will. I'm not a snitch" Emilia assured.
"She's presently in the receiving room speaking to Lord Russo. She's much worse from the last time I saw her so try to avoid her" Michelle warned.
*****
Adrian's footsteps echoed as we walked into the receiving room. Even the breaths of the guards on standby couldn't be heard.
Seated on a sofa was a red haired lady dressed in a skimpy black dress and black heels. She was beautiful, but the aura she carried was repulsive. Her lips curved into an evil smile as she locked eyes with Adrian.
Adrian gently tore off the eye contact and strutted to the window side. A small valet ran to him with his pipe which he picked and puffed the smoke with ease.
For the next few minutes, Adrian refused to utter a word, the sassy lady was getting agitated and couldn't hold it in any longer.
"My darling, Adrain, don't you miss me?* She questioned with a seductive tone, and Adrian chuckled amusingly.
With his back against her, he replied. "Your demons are not strong enough to roll with mine, Rosa. There's no way I would miss you."
Rosa laughed out insanely and abruptly stopped, putting the men in the room in a tight spot as they all readied themselves to apprehend her if she goes out of control.
"Why are you so quick to conclude? The new comfort you put me in had made me stronger. This time, I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy me" Rosa said, and Adrian turned to look at her.
He sized her up, immediately, he knew something was wrong. Her aura was darker than it used to be. She looked sane on the outside, but would definitely be dangerous if her insanity was unleashed.
Dream on, Rosa. I cut you off when I threw you into that asylum. You should have stayed there" Adrian retorted.
"Nah... I knew you still needed me, so I had to leave for you sake" Rosa replied with a softened voice, and Adrian frowned.
"Who let you out?" He bellowed.
"The authorities themselves. Seems they felt I was now sane, so they let me go. Their mistake" Rosa replied, and laughed eerily.
"Well, they must have done that temporarily. You've overstayed your welcome. Time for you to leave" Adrian proclaimed, and glanced at his men, they approached Rosa gently.
"Nah... I'm not going anywhere. Besides, I haven't gotten the whole gist of what happened in this Villa yesterday. I heard you got married. Tell me, Adrian, who is she? Is she crazier than me?" Rosa questioned.
