Chapter 9

ALEXA'S POV 

I groaned as my alarm went off, rolling to turn it off I giggled as Parker groaned and pulled me back to him, “do we have to get up?” He whined sleepily. I giggled again and rolled onto his chest, “yes baby we do, but I did set it half an hour earlier so we could just lie here for a bit,” I said hoarsely, my voice still wasn’t the best. “Well aren’t you a clever girl,” he chuckled and brought his arm down around me. 

We were silent for a minute before he sighed deeply, “Alex are you sure you want to go by yourself?” Clearing my throat I tilted my head to look up at him, “Parker we talked about this last night. You have to go to school, I’ll be fine I’ll see you at school after it.” He sighed again and looked down on me, “I know but I’m still worried, I want to come with you. I won’t be able to focus in school, I won’t be able to focus on anything until I see you and know you’re okay.” I lifted my body and slid my legs over him, pulling myself up I leaned over him, “I’ll be fine Parker, you need to stop worrying about me. My throat doesn’t hurt much anymore, my voice will be better soon.” 

He slid his hand onto my cheek, “I’ll never stop worrying about you babe, I told you I was with you every step of the way and I meant it. I love you Alex, you’re my everything....please let me come?” I bit my lip and lowered my head, “fine, you can come,” I murmured and kissed him. He tugged my face closer and deepened the kiss. As it heated up I lifted myself and slid down onto him, “Alex, babe,” he moaned as I started to move. “You’re my everything too Parker, I don’t know what I’d do without you.” He lifted his head and kissed me sweetly “you’ll never have to worry about that babe, I’m not going anywhere I’m gonna take care of you for the rest of my life....shit babe,” he moaned as I moved faster. 

“Parker!” I moaned loudly as he sat forward and slid his hands onto my lower back and neck, “f**k!” I moaned and threw my head back. “You feel so good babe, don’t stop,” he groaned and slammed his lips to mine holding me tight. “Yes baby....fuck Alex.....Aww YES! f**k BABE!” he yelled as he came. I slid my hand into his hair and tugged hard closing my eyes tight as my own o****m built up, “Parker! Oh f**k! Oh god......Parker!” I cried as I came hard. 

I slowed my movements as we both rode out our high, “Parker,” I panted happily. “Hey!” I squealed as he flipped us. “I love you, f**k do I love you,” he panted and kissed me hard, after a minute he pulled back and dropped on top of me, “That was f*****g awesome babe,” he panted. I chuckled and ran my hands up and down his back, “it was...we gotta get ready now.” I giggled as he groaned and tightened his hold on me, Oh how I wish we could stay here too. This was the best weekend ever. 

PARKER'S POV 

We now sat in the waiting room waiting for Alexa to be called, I was a mess I was so nervous and worried. What if there was something wrong? What if her voice never returned fully? What if it stayed the way it is now? She would be crushed. I looked down at my bobbing knee as her hand landed on it, “sorry babe,” I sighed and scrubbed my hands over my face, “I’m just a little on edge here.” “A little?” she giggled. “Okay a lot,” I chuckled, “I’m going crazy with worry, my brain is in overdrive, I just want you to be okay,” I replied and slid my hand over hers. 

Before she could reply the door opened and a nurse stepped out with a chart, “Alexa Keane?” she called and looked around the waiting area. “Right here!” I called and pulled her to her feet. “Baby you need to calm down,” she said and slid her hand into mine as he walked into the office. “Doctor Ryan is just finishing up with another patient, he’ll be with you soon,” the nurse said and closed the door. A few minutes later Doctor Ryan walked into the room, “good morning Alexa.....Mr Adam's here again?” he asked as he sat down. “Yes,” I replied and glared at him, “it’s okay Doctor Ryan, he’s my mate he's a little overwhelmed this morning,” Alex said and rubbed my arm. 

Doctor Ryan smiled and opened the chart, “I see your voice has returned, that’s great...when did that happen?” he asked and looked over at her. “Thursday night,” she replied, “it kinda just happened, I banged my head and just muttered out something.” He nodded and scribbled on a notepad, “so that’s almost four days, how has your throat being feeling?” “It was sore at the start, kinda hard to swallow and felt a little dry, my voice was croaky and hoarse Saturday morning,” she replied. “She had a coughing fit on Friday evening, she was finding it hard to breath for a few minutes,” I added in. He frowned and looked to Alexa, “has this happened since Friday?” “No,” she said and shook her head, “it’s just been hoarse and dry since.” 

“Okay,” he said and stood up, “Alexa hop up onto the bed and we'll do a quick scan,” he added and pulled a machine from the corner. I stood up and walked with her to the bed, as soon as she sat up on it I slipped my hand into hers, “what do you think it is? Why did she have trouble breathing?” I asked. "I can’t say just yet, let’s have a look first, Alexa open you mouth wide,” he said and moved closer to her with the camera. I squeezed her hand and closed my eyes tight, ‘please moon Goddess let her be okay' I prayed. 

ALEXA'S POV 

 “See anything?” Parker asked as Doctor Ryan examined the screen. He was silent for a minute and leaned a little closer to the screen, “it’s not fully healed but it’s getting there.” “What does that mean? Will she be okay?” Parker asked. “She'll be just fine, the voice box is still a little damaged but nothing to be concerned about,” Doctor Ryan said as he pulled the camera from my mouth. 

I cleared my throat and sat up, “what about my voice? When do you think it’ll stop being like this?” Parker handed me a bottle of water and helped me down off the bed as Doctor Ryan walked back to the desk. “It should be a week the longest, until then your voice is going to c***k and be croaky and hoarse. I’d advise you to continue with the list I gave you and rest it as much as possible. I’m going to prescribe drops to help as well,” he said as he scribbled on a piece of paper. 

“So she’ll be okay? Like fully recovered?” Parker asked. Doctor Ryan nodded and held out the prescription “fully recovered and healthy....I’ll see you back here at nine am next Monday for another examination.” “That is great news, thank you doc,” Parker said and held out his hand. He chuckled and shook his hand, “don’t mention it, Alexa I’ll see you next week,” he smiled and left the room. “Thank you!” I called after him. 

I giggled as Parker lifted me up and swung me around, “I’m so happy,” he chuckled and dropped me to my feet. Leaning in he kissed me and slid his hand into mine, “come on, guess we should get to school now,” he said and led me out of the room. After we collected my prescription we made our way back to his car in silence. “Hey babe?” he said and tugged me back to him, “why did you tell Doctor Ryan I was your mate?” "Patient Doctor confidentially, he can’t repeat anything said in the room,” I replied as I opened the car door. 

He climbed in beside me and ran his hands through his hair, “it’s been a rough morning, I need to blow off some steam.” I smirked and straddled him, I don’t know what he was doing to me but I wanted him all the time, “wanna blow it off here?” I asked as my hand ran down towards his jeans. His eyes went wide, “what?” here? Are you crazy?” he yelled, “scared Alpha?” I said into his ear as my hand wrapped around his d**k. “f**k Alex,” he growled and shot forward, “that is so damn sexy,” he said and kissed me hard. He lifted us and pulled his jeans down before sliding his hand under my dress and snapping my underwear. 

PARKER'S POV 

“Aww Alex!” I growled out as she started to bounce on top of me, this woman was amazing! I grabbed her ass and pushed her down harder, “I love when you ride me fast babe,” I groaned and squeezed her ass cheek. She started to move faster and dug her nails into my neck, “Aww baby! f**k! f**k!” I panted. “Parker! s**t Parker!” she gasped out and slammed her lips to mine. 

I gripped her ass tight as I came hard moaning into her mouth, “damn babe,” I panted and threw my head back onto the headrest. Sliding one hand around us I teased her and bit her neck, “come for me babe, come all over me,” I growled and bit her a little harder. This s**t was hot! She really was so amazing. "Parker! f**k baby! Aww yes!” she yelled and moved so fast the car moved with her. "Come on baby, come for me,” I murmured in her ear.....shit I was hard again. 

She gripped my hair tight and cried out my name as she came and threw herself forward panting hard. “Baby that was out of this world, you are so amazing,” I mumbled against her as I peppered her neck and shoulders with kisses. “I’ll feel that later,” she panted into my ear. I chuckled and wrapped my arms around her. “How am I gonna sleep without you tonight?” She lifted her head and kissed me sweetly, rolling off me she sat in her own seat and fixed her skirt, “I know, it’s gonna suck....we should get to school,” she muttered and pulled her belt across her. 

I frowned as I fixed my jeans, “what’s wrong babe? Was that not as good for you as it was for me?” I asked, what else could change her mood like this? “Of course it was...it’s nothing, it’s stupid, start the car,” she huffed. “Alex I’m not moving until you tell me what’s wrong,” I replied. “Start the f*****g car!” she growled. I was taken back by her tone, I was starting to get pissed now “Alex what the f**k is going on?” I asked through gritted teeth. “Start the god damn car!” she yelled. “No!” I yelled back and moved closer to her, “not until you tell me what’s changed your mood over the last two minutes!” 

“You’re what’s wrong with me Parker!” she yelled “I don’t know what the f**k is wrong with me!” she cried as tears ran down her face. “I don’t wanna be away from you! I don’t wanna go home! I don’t wanna sleep without you !” “Babe,” I sighed and clicked open her belt before pulling her out of her seat and onto my lap. “I don’t wanna be away from you either but until your dad knows about us we gotta stick this out.” “I’m sorry,” she sniffed and clutched my shirt, “this is so hard Parker, I miss you so much when we’re not together.” “I know babe, there’s a hole in my heart when we’re apart, we're almost there Alex, another week and you should be back to full health, then we can talk to your dad.” “I love you,” she mumbled and buried her head in my chest. “Love you too beautiful,” I said and settled back into my seat holding her close...there was no way we were going to school. 

ALEXA'S POV 

Later that evening Parker pulled up outside my house, “are you sure you’re gonna be okay babe?” he asked and rubbed my knee. I nodded and slid my hand onto his, “I’ll be fine, I’m sorry about my breakdown earlier.” He turned his hand and laced our fingers together, “this is so hard for me too babe, but there’s just one more barrier then the world will know you’re mine.” Smiling I leaned over to him, “I love you,” I said and kissed him deeply. 

He slid his hand onto my cheek and deepened it, after a minute he pulled back, “love you too beautiful, you better get inside. I’ll be here at eight to drop you back to your car.” Nodding I pulled off my belt and opened the door, “I’ll call you before I go to bed....that sounded so weird,” I giggled. He leaned over and kissed me again, “looking forward to it babe.” I climbed out and waved him off before walking up my drive and up to the front door. 

Letting myself in I dropped my keys on the hall table and continued on to the kitchen. There I found my mom sitting by herself at the table reading a book, “hey mom,” I said. “Oh Lex,” she said and grabbed her chest, “you scared me how was yo.....” she gasped and jumped up off her chair. “Your voice! You can talk! You talked Lex!” she cried and threw herself at me. “I know,” I chuckled and wrapped my arms around her. I know things are s**t with my parents right now but they’ve been waiting for this just as much as I have. 

“STEVEN!” my mom screamed “STEVEN!” she screamed again as tears ran down her face. “ZARA!” he yelled back followed by pounding footsteps coming down the stairs. “Zara! What is it!?” He yelled as he skidded into the kitchen followed by a sleepy James, Tyler with a toothbrush hanging out of his mouth and Grace in nothing but a towel.....my mom must have frightened them all. 

“Alexa!” she cried and gripped me tighter. My dad frowned and looked at me, “what happened Lex?” he asked and looked back to my mom in confusion. “Oh it’s okay dad, mom is a little overwhelmed is all,” I said with a smirk. “Okay....but why?” he frowned again. “No way!” James grinned. “Oh my god Alexa you can talk!” Grace screamed and ran at me. “Wow Lex, so was not expecting that,” Tyler chuckled and walked to me, “it’s good to hear that annoying voice again,” he added and hugged me tight. 

My dad stepped in and pushed Tyler out of the way, “It’s so good to hear your voice baby,” he said with a shaky voice. I hugged him back and sighed into him, “it’s good to be able to talk again,” I said pulled away from him. “Mom, where are the twins?” I asked as I walked around the table creating some distance between us, I knew my dad and probably my brothers weren’t going to be happy with my news. “With Aunt Mags for the night,” she replied. 

I nodded and turned to my dad I couldn’t do it anymore, I couldn’t go one more day hiding my relationship with Parker. “Okay, while everyone is here I need to tell you all something,” I started. “What is it Lex? Is something wrong?” my dad asked and glanced at my mom. “No nothing is wrong, in fact it’s quite the opposite....I met my mate,” I said nervously. 

“Wow...who is it? Do we know him? I’m so happy for you,” Grace smiled. “Who is it?” Tyler asked and crossed his arms over himself. My dad’s face lit up, “that’s great sweetie, have you two accepted each other?” I nodded and looked to my mom who stood frozen on the spot looking worried. “We have,” I nodded and blew out a deep breath, “.....it’s Parker,” I said quickly. Grace gasped and threw her hand over her mouth. James and Tyler stood staring at me with open mouths. My mom stared at my dad waiting for him to explode. My dad stood glaring at me while his fist shook by his side. 

“What did you just say?” he growled. “I said Parker is my mate, we’ve accepted each other, we want to be together dad,” I replied. “Are you f*****g kidding me!” he yelled and slammed his hands down on the table. “Steven calm down,” my mom said and placed her hand on his shoulder. He growled and stepped away from her, “how long has this being going on?” “Since I woke up in hospital,” I replied trying to remain calm. 

“Who knows about you?” he growled causing my mom to go stiff beside him. “No one, just us two,” I replied. I gasped as the table between us was flipped across the room. Tyler dived and pushed Grace out of the room while James grabbed my mom and shielded her with his own body. “Dad!” I cried as he gripped me by the throat and slammed me into the wall. 

“Steven stop! Let her go!” my mom cried. He punched me in the mouth causing me to cry out, “why? She likes being slapped around, don’t you Alexa?” he growled and slapped me across the face. “Get the f**k off her!” Tyler yelled and ran at him. I dropped to my knees and gasped for air as soon as he was flung away from me. 

Grace ran to me and pulled me to my feet while Tyler and my dad fought. “Run Lex! Run! I’ll call you when things calm down!” she said panicked as she pushed me down the hall. “Oh no you don’t!” My dad roared and ran after me. “Run Alexa! Run!” Grace sobbed as she shoved me out the front door trying to block my dad in. He moved her easily and ran after me, he grabbed me by the hair , “we're going on a drive!” he hissed and dragged me towards his car, I was so scared, I didn't know what to do as he shoved me inside.

 “I’ll f*****g kill you if you hurt her!” James yelled as he banged on the window and Tyler pulled at the other door screaming at my dad to stop. I whimpered as the car screeched away....what have I done?

PARKER'S POV 

 Walking along to my dads office I stopped as the door opened and my uncle Jake walked out, “hey kid,” he said when he spotted me. “Hey, is he busy?” I asked and pointed towards the office. “He’s just wrapping up now, he’s a little stressed right now so if it’s bad news I’d suggest skipping it,” he replied. “It’s not bad news,” I chuckled, “why's he so stressed?” I asked curiously. “Ah some d**k of an Alpha wants to stay for a week while he’s in town and your dad’s not too happy.” 

“Right,” I nodded and started to walk, “I better go see him night Jake!” I called. “Night kid!” he called back and turned the corner. Knocking on the office door I waited for him to call out before entering, “hey dad, got a minute?” “Sure,” he nodded and put down a file, “what’s up?” I walked to the chairs opposite his desk and sat down, “I was hoping I could talk to you about reinstating my future Alpha title,” I said nervously.

This was the last thing I needed to do on Alexa’s list. He raised an eyebrow and sat back in his seat, “go on,” he said. “I know I was a d**k and caused a lot of trouble for you and mom and for that I’m truly sorry. I know I did something unforgivable but I’ve changed dad, I’ve grown up a lot in the last few weeks.” “Being with Alexa has changed me so much, she’s changed me for the better. I don’t want to be the person I used to be, I love Alexa with all my heart, I’d do anything for her, I’d give my life for her.” 

“She gave me a chance, I was hoping you could do the same?” I said and looked up at him, “please dad?” He smiled and sat forward, “I have all the faith in the world in you son, that girl is good for you,” he said and slid his hand onto my cheek. “I’m so proud of you Parker, I can see myself how much you've grown and how hard you've worked to make things right with Alexa. I can see how much you love her, I herby reinstate your future Alpha title.” 

“Thanks dad,” I said and stood up, “I won’t let you down, I promise.” He stood up and walked around to me, “you’ve proven yourself to me Parker, Alexa has indeed changed you for the better.” “She has, but I wouldn’t change it for the world,” I smiled. The smile fell off my face as we heard yelling outside. “That sounds like Jake....stay here,” he said and hurried to the door. “What the hell are you doing!? Let go of her! You’re hurting her!” my uncle yelled. 

Before my dad got to the door it burst open and Alexa's dad barged in dragging her by the hair followed by my uncle with a bloody nose. “Alex!” I gasped and ran for her only to be stopped by my dad, “let her go now,” I growled dangerously. “Steven what is the meaning of this? Release her immediately!” my dad yelled. 

“Parker!” she sobbed as he tightened his hold on her hair. “Let her go right now!” I yelled and tried to get by my dad. “Reject her!” Steven growled back. “what? No way!” I yelled. “Reject her right now! She’s not staying with you!” “Yes she is,” I yelled back and tried again to get around my dad. 

“Alexa reject him!” Steven yelled and tugged her forward causing her to cry out. “You’re hurting her! I swear if you don’t let her go I’m gonna kill you!” I yelled, I was so close to losing it and going full wolf mode. “I’m ordering you to release her!” my dad growled in his Alpha tone. Steven sighed and let go of her, “Alexa, reject him right now!” “No!” she yelled and ran to me, I grabbed her and shoved her behind me she was shaking. “What the hell is wrong with you? That’s your daughter!” 

I looked behind at her and growled at blood on her face, “did he do that to you?” she nodded and gripped the back of my shirt. "I’ll kill you!” I yelled and lunged at him, my dad and uncle sprang forward and pulled me back. "Let go! He’s dead! I’m gonna kill him!” I yelled as I struggled against them. “Parker calm down!” my dad hissed. 

Steven chuckled and looked to Alexa, “you either reject him and come home with me now, or you lose your family.” “What?” She asked in shock. “If you choose to stay with him you’ll no longer be part of this family, him or us Alexa?” Steven asked. “Why are you doing this?” she whimpered. “He tried to kill you!” he hissed and took a step forward. “It was your family by your beside waiting for you to wake up. It was us praying things would be okay, where was he?” he asked looking me up and down. 

“Why can’t you accept that we’ve all moved on from that, Alexa has forgiven me and I’ll spend the rest of my life making it up to her. My parents have forgiven me and your wife too, why can’t you just be happy for her and accept us?” I ranted. He rolled his eyes and looked to Alexa, “choose, him or us?” she wiped her hand under her nose and walked to me, “I’m never gonna reject him dad, I love him.” 

Steven nodded and started to walk backwards, “then you’re dead to me, do not step foot in my house again, do not contact anyone from my family,” he said and turned around, “don’t come crying to me when he breaks your heart....you’ve made your choice,” he said and walked out. 

My heart snapped at the look on her face I reached in and wiped tears as they fell, “give him a few days to calm down babe,” I said softly. My dad sighed and scrubbed his hands over his face, “take her to get checked out and stay with her. I’m going to see if Zara and the kids are okay,” he said and walked out with my uncle following him confusion written all over his face. “I’m sorry,” she whispered, “I couldn’t keep it in anymore.” I wrapped my arms around her and pulled her into me, “it’s okay babe, we'll figure this out, I love you everything's gonna be okay.”
