Chapter 4 

Madison P.O.V 

    Pushing my way through the crowded dance floor. It was multiple men trying to compliant me and saying how they loved my long blonde hair. But I didn't pay them any attention. It was some wolf in the club tonight, but it was manly humans. I didn't have anything against humans, but I was waiting on for my mate. Werewolves can find their mates at eighteen years old. But I just turned twenty-two last week and still haven't found my mate. The Alpha, Beta, and Gamma of my pack haven't found their mates yet either. We all grew up together in the Blue Mountain pack. My mother is best friends with all their mothers. Growing up, we all talking about how we couldn't wait to find our mates. And now here we all are in our twenties mateless.  

    We’ll find our mate Madison don’t worry. My wolf Ali told me.  

    I know Ali, I’m just tired of waiting.  

    I decided to go back to the gold room to hang out with Aria since all my other rooms were taken care of. I open the door and I’m immediately taken back with what I see. Alpha Aaron was passed out on the floor, and so was Aria.  

    “Omg my gosh, what happened  in here?" Seeing the Alpha and Aria both lying on the floor. I instantly knew what was wrong.  

    One of them rejected the other. Vanessa, Isabel, Beta Josh, and Gamma Justin we're surrounding Aria looking very concerned. So I knew she had to be the one that was rejected. I felt so bad for her. Your mate isn't just a boyfriend or girlfriend their literally the other half of your soul. Rejection from an Alpha was no joke; It could kill a human instantly and be so painful for a wolf you'd wish you were dead.  

    "This asshole rejected her! Thankful she's not a human-like, he thought or she would be dead," replied Isabel.  

    “Not human? Then what are you guys? You smelled human when you came.” 

    "We're witches; we just mask our scent so we can live peacefully among the humans," Vanessa told me.  

    "We need to get her to a supernatural doctor, or she might not make it. Even though she is not human, an Alpha's rejection is potent," I told everyone. "Wait, let me mind-link my Alpha and get permission to bring her to my mom. She's the head doctor at our pack hospital."  

    Nate?! 

    Madison, do you know what time it is? This better be important. 

    It is, I promise! I"m at work, and the stupid Alpha of Half Moon rejected his mate, thinking she was human because she masked her scent. But, unfortunately, she is a young witch and needs a doctor now, or she won't do it. Do I have your permission to take her to my mom? 

    WHAT THE F**K?! Of course, you do. I'll let your mom know you are coming. 

    Okay, I'm bringing her twin sister with us; they're also witches. I said before ending the mind link. 

    “My Alpha said it's okay, and my mom is getting ready for our arrival. It's a twenty-minute drive from here, so let’s hurry."  

    "I don't think she has twenty minutes. What are the corrodents to your pack hospital? Isabel and I can transport us there with a spell." Vanessa yells while crying.  

    I quickly pulled my phone out of my bra and show them both. Vanessa grabbed my hand while Isabel grabbed Aria's; before I could even blink, we were in the middle of the emergency room.   

    Our sudden appearance startled all the nurses and my mother. But after a moment, my mom went back into doctor mode. She immediately started checking Aria's vital and ushered for a nurse to get a gurney.  

    "Hello, my name is Doctor Edmonds. The Alpha already told me what happened. I'll take good care of your sister." Mom told them before wheeling Aria away.  

    As soon as my mom took her away, both Isabel and Vanessa broke down crying. Seeing them like this completely broke my heart. I walk over to them and pulled both of them into a hug, and start crying myself. Even though I had just meet Aria, I loved her already. She seems like a very sweet girl, and she didn't deserve this, especially not on her twenty-first birthday.  

    Maddie, where are you? I told the wolves on patrol you would be coming with guests.  Nate mind linked me. 

    We're already at the hospital. Aria didn't have that much time, so her sister cast a teleportation spell. We landed right in the emergency room. My mom is working on Aria right now while I try to calm down her sisters.  

    Okay, Blake, Shawn, and I are leaving the packhouse now. We'll be there shortly.  

    Five minutes later, I hear them walking down the hallway towards us. As soon as they turn the corner the I hear two loud growls. Both Blake and Shawn come running towards me. Before I could register was what happens; they each grab a twin.  

    “MINE!” they yell at the same time.  

    I look at the twins, and they both look pissed! They move so fast none of us saw it coming. In one swift move, they each grab one of the boy's arms, spun them around, and body-slam them.  

    “Oh s**t,” Says Blake.  

    “What the f**k! Why and how did you two just do that?” Questioned Shawn.  

    "Who do you two think you are grabbing us like that? We're here in the hospital with our little sister dying; when you two come in here grab us and claim us as your mates!" Vanessa yelled; she was pissed off.  

    "Our sister is laying in a hospital bed right now because of you werewolves and your stupid mate bond! We don't want to be mated to any wolves! So the second Aria is okay; we're getting the hell out of this pack. So don't get your hopes up! We're stepping outside to call our parents and tell them what happened," Isabel yells before grabbing Vanessa’s hand and walking out the room.  

    Blake and Shawn, we're still sitting on the floor, looking confused and heartbroken. I actually felt a little bad for them. But at the same time, I don't fault the twins for what they said. Then, finally, Nate walks over and helped them both up. Blake wanted to go after the girls, but Nate stopped them.  

    “Let them go. I'm sure they need a minute to themselves after watching their sister almost die. Maddie tells us everything that happened tonight. Especially about Aria, Hunter is going crazy right now. He senses his mate nearby, and the only other new person in this building is Aria." Blake says, shocking all of us.  

    What kind of sick game is the Moon Goddess playing? I thought to myself.  

    I told them everything that happened at the club, and the boys were pissed. After knowing everything, they understood why the twins flipped out on them.  

    “F**k! I’ve been waiting for my mate for nine years. I finally found her at the worst possible time. I pray the Moon Goddess saves Aria.” Blake tells us.  

    "Yeah, I know Alpha Aaron. His mother was a human, but his father still loved and adored her. Unfortunately, their pack was attacked by rogues when he was a teenager. His mother, Luna Danelle was killed trying to protect the children in the pack. Since then, Aaron has viewed all humans as weak. I hope Aria pulls through this. No, I need her to pull through. I don't care if she's human, a witch, or a werewolf; Aria's my mate. Hunter and I need her!" Nate yelled.  

    I have never seen him this heartbroken before. Aria has to pull through this! We all sat in silence, waiting for an update. Then a few minutes later, my mom came back out.  

    “We did all that we could do, but she's still unconscious. So the rest is up to her and the Moon Goddess. You all can go see her, but just try to keep quiet; she needs rest if she's going to pull through this." Mom tells us.  

    "Aunty Sarah, mind link me if anything changes. She's your future Luna. That's if she even wants me after everything she's been through." Nate says, almost in tears. My mom looks shocked and worried but just respectively bows and goes back to her other patients.  

    “I'll go get the girls and meet you guys in Aria's room."  

    I find them sitting outside of the hospital, hugging each other and crying. So I walk over and give them both a big bear hug trying to hug away the pain they're feeling.  

    “My mom says we can see Aria now. But she is resting, so for now, we just have to wait. I'm so sorry I wish there was something more I could do." 

    "Don't say that. You've done enough already. If it wasn't for you, Aria would've died back at the club. Our parents wanted to thank you, your mother, and the Alpha for all the help." Isabel tells me while giving me another hug.  

    "Um, Madison, can you do us a favor? Let your Beta and Gamma know we are sorry for how we treated them. We were both still angry about Aria being hurt, and we took all that anger out on them. We know they will probably want to reject us after the hurtful things we said to them." 

    "Don't worry about it, Isabel. After telling them everything that happened, they understand why you were so upset. I know you probably don't want to hear this right now, but I've known them my entire life. They would never treat their mate the way Alpha Aaron treated Aria."  

    "We talked about it. We can't accept them right now, but we also won't reject them either. Aria is our main priority right now. Come on, let's go see Aria. " Isabel says.
