Chapter 06: The First Dream

Wade didn't realize where he was. But he was back, maybe.
The place where Wade was is a type of luxurious penthouse type of apartment. It is called "Concept". This is because these houses will always have something weird which will always seem to bend the laws of physics, nothing but clever architecture. And Wade realized the wiredness of the concept that he was in. Endless spiral stair loops. "But how," Wade thought. "And his concept is this?"
Wade started to look around for something or someone. But as soon as he touched an object from the house, it just slipped right through his hands.
"AHH! What happened? Am I dead?"
As usual, Wade freaked out with the unnatural. Then out of nowhere, AI Nathan's voice appeared, "Please calm down. Please don't freak out."
Wade with a fitting rage burst & said, "You tell me where I am this instant or I promise I will do something very horrific with you."
"You are in my house."
"What? Then why can't I touch anything?"
"Nathan really did hide everything from you. That is because when an AI shows anyone a dream, no one can interact with the objects in it."
"Ok. OK. I'll be calm."
Calming himself, Wade waited for something to happen. And within a couple of minutes, Nathan came in. Not AI Nathan, the Nathan in the dream. And boy, was he looking very scared. It was like something happened. Before Wade did something stupid again or freaked out for no reason, he asked AI Nathan, "Will this be like a movie or a sequel?"
"Pretty much."
Now Wade remained silent for the whole time. He now knows that he cannot interact or talk with anyone in here. And this is a clue which Nathan may have created & he is trying to tell something in it. Wade decided to find out more about it later on.
The year is maybe 2059. A year before Nathans' death. Nathan is currently in his concept. But he is not happy. Scared & walking here & there with tension, he was also sweating profusely even under the air conditioning. He was thinking. Wade never saw him like this. After a couple of minutes, the bell rang. Nathan went to answer the door. And then he shrieked, "No. Not you. I gave you what you wanted. Why are you following me?"
Nathan backed up. And then Wade saw the reason he was brought to Evaelona.
Apparently, the person who entered the room was similar. Well, he was the person. That guy was none other than Nathan himself. "Oh, man. I really don't want to freak out. But what is happening here? Why are there two Nathans'?"
"See it through the end. All will be clear."
Wade cannot but freak out every time something unnatural happens. How come Nathan has a twin brother. This is not something one would hide away from someone. "What is happening?", he thought.
Firmly gritting his teeth, he somehow managed to see it to the end without saying anything. Now when the other Nathan came into the room, he greeted him following with a rather evil laugh, "Hello Jonathan. Hope you are having a lovely day."
"I already helped you to realize the specter effect. And you promised to leave Wade. What are you doing here now?"
"Well, that is the problem." With a rather disappointing tone, he mocked, "Wade. Huh. More like nothing. That fool has stopped in all my plans every single time. And I am pretty sure he will destroy or more like abolish my next feat again. But now, I am planning the death of Wade in the worst way possible."
"I helped you. You lair. You cheat."
With that, he hurled over the other Nathan who may not be Jonathan or he maybe Jonathan and the other one is Nathan? At this point, Wade has completely lost track of who is who & he is also becoming insane. Because the one who was standing just shoved his hand & the one who tried to attack him just froze in mid-air. Except he could talk.
"Now, now. We don't want any trouble here. I heard that promises are meant to be kept. Well, I chose to break it."
The frozen guy shed a tear or two. Then he said, "Whether Wade knows or not, he will adopt & he will stop you."
Mocking the frozen guy, he said, "Oh, he will stop me. Oh please. How can he survive 4 parallax/paradoxes? And how can he survive Evaelona?"
"I don't know. I just know it."
"Hmmm. Your faith is strong. We will see just how strong your friend is. Once I unleash those so-called volunteers with the specter effect, nothing will stop my plan from being completed. And if you think that unleashing the specter effect is my plan, then you are far out. Nothing will stop me. Nothing."
With that, he gave out a maniacal, hysterical & at the same time evil laugh. That was enough to make Wade & maybe; that frozen guy run a chill down the shudder of the spine.
"OOOOHOHOHO! How fun it will be when Wade will find out that you have a maniacal evil brother who wants to kill him? HAHAHAHAHAHA."
Before leaving the room, the guy said something which was a part of the prophecy. He said,
Whose Light is that? I think I know.
Its owner is quite angry though.
He was cross like a dark potato.
I watch him pace. I cry hello.
"I am in the middle of the prophecy. I am the light whom Wade thinks he knows. YOU as Jonathan.Which is true. Then you are the owner who is angry as I broke your promise. Cross as a black potato. But you do suck at poetry. I am going fast to kill Wade. But in this case, since you are not supporting me, instead of crying hello, you will be begging for mercy after somedays. Mark it. Now we both know what happens next."And with that, he left the room.
The other guy, who Wade finally got to know as Jonathan, was frozen for at least five more minutes before unfreezing & falling to the ground. After that, he could do nothing. All he made in his life was last & destroyed. All thanks to his brother who Wade figured to be Nathan. Now Jonathan was sort of sulking. He kept on reciting the verses:

"All is in you now, Wade. Please solve this & save the day like you do. Please. It is evident."
Then like some invisible force pulling him back, he was pulled through all that he saw, how Nathan used Jonathan, how Jonathan did Nathans' dirty work for the sake of Wades' life, how Nathan wanted Wade dead and all. Then pitch black. Nothing but a tuning sound of quietness.
Then the same verses echoed again, one by one:
Whose Light is that? I think I know.
Its owner is quite angry though.
He was cross like a dark potato.
I watch him pace. I cry hello.
Then someone with a very deep voice said something:
"The light is Nathan, Jonathans' brother. You partially know him."
"As Jonathan is older, he wrote that he owns him in the sense of having authority in the family. But being astray, he was very angry."
"Very cross like a dark potato. And scared at the same time for Wade."
"Jonathan watched Nathan do all the dirty works & he was also included."
"Jonathan tried to warn you but couldn't as you were constantly followed by Nathan directly or indirectly."
"Go, Wade. Do what you have to do."
This voice was familiar. It was Wades' dad. Wade screamed, "DAD!"
And with that, he was pulled back into reality. As if he came from a dream to the world in a woosh.
