Chapter Thirty-FourGrace touched a button on her armlet. “Emergency situation, send Nanic to my location,” she said into it. “One minute until arrival,” the armlet replied to her. “One minute. Lots can happen in one minute,” she said to herself and watched as the beast kept looking down at the people and swiping handfuls of them as they tried to flee.
Even if these freaks deserved it, the crunching sounds of bones and the blood staining its mouth was getting sickening to watch and listen to. The screams were the worst part, however. The beast swung its head and its blue eyes narrowed in on the one person who was just standing there. Everyone else was running and this one was defiant and that enraged the beast.
