I arrived at Rainbow Central with a mere five minutes to spare, but the place was dead quiet. The lights were on and I could see Caspian bustling behind the bar, but no customers yet. The glass door shrieked as I pushed it open, but the floor was still nice and clean. I waved at Caspian. “Hey.” “Hey! First official day, huh?” “Yup.” I dropped my bag on the bar and cracked my fingers. “I see it’s just as empty today as yesterday.” Caspian chuckled. “We’re not open yet, Quinn.” “Oh, duh.” My cheeks heated up. “I’m an idiot.” He shrugged my embarrassment away and gestured to one of the coolers. “Just doing some quick restocking. Can you get a crate of Framboosjes from the back and refill the fridge?” Straight to work then. I nodded. “Yeah, sure. Let me just put my stuff in my locker.”
