“We were able to remove the bullet without any further issues. However, the bullet went into her lung which caused a pneumothorax. The treatment for a pneumothorax involves lessening pressure on the affected lung to allow it to re-expand. We had to insert a hollow needle into the pleural space to let the air out and attach a syringe to the needle to draw the excess air out of the space.”
“So, she is fine now?”
