Ally’s POV “I’m sure he would be here if he could,” Brody sighed. “I would and I am,” the familiar voice said. I spun around and stared into the eyes of my husband. With two big steps, I had my arms around him. He whinched in pain as I squeezed a little too hard. “I’m sorry,” I mumbled as a buried my head in his chest. “It’s okay.” “No. Not just for that. But for everything.” “I understand how you felt and that you needed some space. Don’t ever apologize to me for that,” he said as he kissed the top of my head. A second later realization hit. “How did you get here? Why are you here?” I asked shocked looking up at him. “Did the doctors let you out?” “Not exactly. But I couldn’t just stay there knowing that you needed me. I couldn’t miss this,” he said and looked around.
