Ally’s POV   “There’s a few hours until dinner, so I have time.” “Oh, okay,” Adeline said a bit unsure as she looked towards the door.  “You won’t get in trouble,” I reassured her. “Come sit. Take a break.” “Okay well…” she said as she sat next to me. “Did you know that he lost his wife and only son?” “Yes, I was told about that.” “Well, my father worked for Mr. Monaro. I, from a very young age, was promised to marry his son due to the fact that my father owed Mr. Monaro a LOT of money,” she sighed. “When the deal was set, I was taken away from my family to be raised here. That way I could get used to this world and their line of business, and I would grow up with the knowledge of how it was to be a Monaro.”   “How old were you?” I asked, not really wanting to know.  “I was 7.”
