Damon’s POV
I left Sophie and Lucas in the bedroom and headed downstairs, every muscle in my body so tired and screaming from exhaustion and the aftereffects of the mountain.
My c**k was still a bit hard and slick with Sophie’s juices and my own c*m, but I forced the thought aside.
Right now, survival mattered more than sinking back into her tight p***y. She was the nest that I had ever tasted, and that didn't mean much when I hadn't even slept with that many women at all.
Maybe it was because of the bond that we shared between each other. Maybe that was the reason why the s*x was so good and so lovely.
What other explanation was there?
Victor stood in the middle of the grand foyer like he still owned the f*****g world. Burned, limping, clothes torn, but still alive and kicking. And beside him, the woman who looked exactly like the pictures of Sophie’s mother. Seraphina. Her eyes glowed with that same unnatural golden color I’d seen in the mountain.
I didn't really understand the connection between these two. They both wanted the same thing and they were willing to work together to get it then tear each other apart when it comes to whom should wield it.
It was sickening and I never thought that my father would side with someone like her. He was a totally different person. All because of what? Power?
“Son,” Victor said with a cold smile. “You’ve been busy. Breeding your stepsister like a good Alpha should.”
I stopped at the bottom of the stairs, my hands tightened into fists. “It’s over, old man. The mountain is dead and your plans died with it.”
Seraphina laughed and the sound kinda sent ice down my spine. “The mountain doesn’t die that easily. And neither do I. That child carries my rebirth. Hand him over, and I might let you keep f*****g your little stepsister.”
Tell you what, she had a big and mouth. And really I wanted to tear both their throats out.
“You’re not touching my mate or my son,” I said, my wolf rising close to the surface. My claws extended. “Leave now, or I’ll finish what the mountain started.”
Victor chuckled and gestured. More wolves stepped out from the shadows, at least fifteen of them. Some of them looked like they weren't sure this was what they were supposed to be doing, but most were still under his influence.
“You’re weak, Damon,” Victor said. “You’ve spent the last day knotting your sister instead of fighting. How long do you think you can protect them?”
I felt Sophie’s presence behind me before I heard her. She came down the stairs quietly, Lucas wrapped securely in her arms, wearing one of my oversized shirts that barely reached her thighs. Her hair was messy, her neck and chest covered in my marks, and she still smelled like s*x and me.
“I’m not hiding anymore,” she said, voice steady even though I could feel her fear through the bond. “This is our family now. Not yours.”
Seraphina’s golden eyes lit up with hunger as she stared at Lucas. “My grandson, Give him to me.”
I couldn't feel the tension anymore.
I shifted instantly, bones cracking as my wolf exploded forward. I slammed into the nearest wolves, tearing through them with pure fury. Sophie unleashed a burst of golden energy that knocked two more off their feet.
But Victor had planned for this.
A silver net shot from the side, wrapping around my wolf form. I felt real pain as it seared through me and I crashed to the floor. Seraphina moved faster than she should have been able, going straight for Sophie and Lucas.
Sophie screamed and backed up, golden claws flashing as she slashed at Seraphina. But the woman was too fast, she grabbed Sophie’s arm, and I watched in horror as golden energy began flowing from Sophie into her.
“Damon!” Sophie cried out.
I roared and tore through the silver net with everything I had left in me, shifting back to human for. Naked, bleeding, and furious, I pushed Seraphina off Sophie, sending all three of us crashing into the grand piano.
Glass and wood scattered.
Sophie scrambled back, protecting Lucas, while I pinned Seraphina down. My hand closed around her throat.
“Stay the f**k away from my family,” I said.
Victor’s voice rang out behind me. “Now.”
I felt the dart hit my neck before I could even react. Silver tranquilizer. My vision went all blurry instantly.
The last thing I saw was Sophie’s terrified face as Victor’s men closed inaround her and our son.
Sophie’s POV
“Damon!” I screamed as he collapsed.
Victor’s men were all over me the next moment. I fought wildly, golden claws slashing, but there were too many.
Someone tore Lucas from my arms, making my baby to cry out in fear.
“No! Give him back!” I thrashed even as strong arms pinned me down.
Victor limped closer, smiling through his burns. “You two really thought you could run from destiny? The child will be raised properly, and you, dear Sophie, will continue your duty as the Blackthorn Luna.”
Seraphina rose beside him, brushing off her clothes. “Bring them both. We’re leaving for the secondary compound tonight. The mountain may be damaged, but our work is just beginning.”
I watched helplessly as they dragged Damon’s unconscious body away, his perfect, naked form limp on the marble floor. My p***y still ached from how thoroughly he’d claimed me, his c*m now drying on my thighs.
As they forced me toward the door, Victor leaned in close.
“Welcome back to the family, daughter. You’re going to give us many more heirs.”
The front doors opened to waiting black vans.
I looked back one last time at the mansion that had become both prison and a sanctuary.
Then they pushed me into the darkness.
