Forty minutes later, Rory parked his car outside the Lawrence Mansion and went to the gate with Rosie. He then pressed the doorbell.
It was the old butler, Uncle Gunner, who came to the door. He welcomed Rory and Rosie in with a smile.
"Your grandfather is in the study while your father is in the backyard. You can go to the backyard first, and then to the second floor." Uncle Gunner spoke while he took out two pairs of slippers for them before they entered the house.
After changing his shoes, Rory went to the kitchen to pour himself a glass of water.
Rosie took her time. After changing her shoes, she looked up and saw a middle-aged woman in a light blue silk dress walking up to her.
Her curly hair was coiled up high, and her slanting eyes looked piercing.
