Aaron had canceled all his social engagements to spend more time with Katrina at home. Unexpectedly, she called him earlier to say that she’s going to meet her best friend for dinner, leaving him a little depressed.
When he hears the door open, his eyes light up. Despite his happiness, he remains stoic and asks sullenly, “Finished with dinner?”
The question makes Katrina feel like she’s being berated by her husband for coming home late. Despite her annoyance at the tone, she nods. “Yeah, all done.”
Remembering Aaron’s words during their phone conversation, she didn’t drink any alcohol and came home as soon dinner was over. I didn’t come home late, why does he look so unhappy?
Aaron turns off the TV and says loudly, "I'm hungry!"
